Weekly Famitsu 100/100

« 10 / 10 / 10/ 10 - 40 platinum »

NTSC-uk 100/100

« When one picks up the controller, the ability to step into that time and place (never more hauntingly beautiful than in this latest instalment) never loses its allure. Even the most hardened of cynics would have to admit that this title is something else entirely. It's the stuff of dreams. [JPN Import] »

Eurogamer 100/100

« Simply a stunning, magical game. »

AceGamez 100/100

« It is a gaming legend that is worthy of the name Zelda in every way. The cartoon graphics are the most fluid, gorgeous, lovingly crafted masterpiece I've ever seen in a game, with atmospheric music and realistic sound completing the experience. »

DarkStation 100/100

« The navigation, the combat, the dungeons, the characters, and the peril you must face as that young elf boy in green are all fantastic. »

Total Video Games 100/100

« Do not let the visual style put you off, you'll soon warm to it like everybody I've ever seen who's taken one look at the game. However more importantly the gameplay is the definition of perfection. »

Game Informer 100/100

« Blows every Zelda game out of the water and stands as the video game event of a lifetime. It's an absolute necessity for anyone who considers themselves a gamer. [Apr 2003, p.86] »

Nintendo Power 100/100

« The Wind Waker defines the five-star rating. The play control and puzzles are stunning. The story is dramatic, funny and often touching and the graphic style is nothing short of amazing. [Apr 2003, p.132] »

« This game is genuinely horrible, the triforce quest is bad, the temples are bad, sailing the sea is boring as **** and there is nothing remotely fun after beating the game, the character design are bad and link has the Stewie head from family guy »

Starman99x 7/10

« Pros: - Beautiful visual style, still holds to this day. - Great story, lore, and characters. - Good music, although the volume is too low at times. - Good puzzles, and dungeon designs. - Good boss designs, and cinematic moments. Cons: - Tedious sailing mechanics, repetitive content, and mostly easy combat. - Repetitive slow dialogs. - Forced linear start. - The ghost ship chart hunt is too confusing to figure out. - Partly clunky controls. - Some hints and explanations are unnecessary. »

« For me the 2nd best Zelda oat after botw. I love this game so much! The sea and the story are so wonderful! Only the triforce search can be frustrating but that part I love too! »

« Charming artstyle, COOL vibes and atmosphere. Such a simplistic game, but I still think back on it time after time again. I'm 100% sure that this is an evergreen game, and I'll definitely replay it in the future. »

Piggeu 10/10

« played this version, and the HD version. A complete masterpiece, once you start it you want it to finish, and imo, it has one of the best lores in all of the zeldas, the map is just huge af and there are a lot of islands to visit, all of those has a secret, and if you can't to something in one island trust me that it will turn out to be useful once you keep going with the story. 10/10 no doubt »

DarkMythHunter 10/10

« The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (9.6/10) shines with its timeless cel-shaded art style and sense of adventure. Sailing across the Great Sea feels freeing, with islands full of secrets to uncover. Its expressive characters, memorable story, and vibrant world create a unique charm. Dungeons are creative, combat is smooth, and the music is iconic. A bold, visually stunning Zelda entry that remains magical years later. »

« Holy **** this game is peak asf I felt like the ganondorf in this game was so cool as he actually felt human and also the links story and his personality this link felt so cute and also could talk this game also has the best story in any zelda game just barely ahead of ocarina of time I dont love the dungeons as much as some other games but do love characters interactions and wind fall island is one of my favorite zelda areas of all time this game is just so good all around and has so much side content to do thought it has a few flaws like me mindlessly sailing across the sea just waiting to reach the next island and the triforce charts which actually weren't as bad as I thought also some of the bosses were just way to easy but none the less a peak game »
