Blacksad: Under the Skin est un jeu d'aventure et de réflexion développé par Ys Interactive et Pendulo Studios, publié par Microids et Maximum Games et sorti le 5 novembre 2019. Adapté de la série de bande dessinée espagnole Blacksad de Juan Díaz Canales et Juanjo Guarnido, le titre met en scène le détective John Blacksad dans une enquête sur la mort suspecte du propriétaire d'un club de boxe à New York dans les années 1950. Le jeu propose un récit noir où corruption et disparitions mènent l'enquêteur au cœur des bas-fonds de la ville, avec un système de contrôle direct du personnage rappelant Grim Fandango et des éléments de narration mêlant enquêtes, puzzles, QTE et dialogues à choix multiples. Disponible sur PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 et 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One et Xbox Series X|S, il affiche un temps de parcours d'environ dix heures pour l'histoire principale et vingt heures en complétionniste.
L'accueil critique est mitigé dans l'ensemble, avec un score Metacritic de 65 et un score OpenCritic de 62. La presse a toutefois salué certains aspects du titre, DarkStation évoquant une expérience stylée et profondément humaine malgré ses personnages animaliers, tandis que 4P.de a qualifié l'aventure de captivante grâce à ses personnages, son style visuel et sa bande-son. Du côté des joueurs, certains expriment un vif enthousiasme pour l'intrigue et le gameplay interactif, quand d'autres, sur Steam, regrettent un gameplay lourdaud tout en jugeant l'intrigue incroyable.

« If you are a fan of narrative-dirven projects, the detective genre and detective videogame mechanics (searching for evidence, speaking to people, piecing together the clues, etc.), the game is definitely for you. Overall, I really enjoyed playing it, except for a couple of things. The first is how the game often makes the decision for you. I don't want to go into specific situations to avoid spoilers, but sometimes the story just proceeds without your approval, and as a player, you feel like a backseat passenger in a car driven by an unpredictable driver. The second is, of course, the bugs that are still there over a year after the release. The game often went out of focus in dialogs, the textures were flashing, and the lipsync was missing the point way too often. Nevertheless, as I have said at the beginning, if this is your genre, the bugs and issues won't stand in the way of you having a good time (like it was in my case!). »

« Пиксель-хантинг с котом сыщиком на 10 часов (с некоторыми переигровками). Достаточно стандартная детективная история без каких то ВАУ событий и ВОТ ЭТО ПОВОРОТОВ (есть финальный саспенс и то максимальное клише), история - которая может удивить разве что тех, кто особо к детективам не притрагивался (не читал книг, не смотрел фильмов). Из минусов: - при переигровках эпизода в игре про диалоги нельзя скипать диалоги, мрак. - в игре где гг КОТ, кот не умеет бегать, что ужас как растягивает геймплей, туда сюда ходи броди унылой походкой, очень интересно... - вроде как детектив и должны быть разные варианты событий, но их буд то бы и нет... Из трех вариантов действий в двух кот умирает и остается одно единственное верное решение, где вариативность? - всё заканчивается в одной точке, выборы игрока на ход событий не влияют. - если во время диалоговой сцены (изучения локации) выбрать сюжетный триггер, то возможности прожать другие диалоги (найти зацепки) скипаются, потеря контента, который бы мог помочь лучше раскрыть персонажей или дал какие то наводки по делу (нет, тут рельсы, ничего сюжетно важного не пропустится). - персонажи при всём своем разнообразии достаточно пресные, не вызывают никакого сопереживания, на них буквально насрать, поэтому игра никаких моральных дилемм не вызывает, все выборы делаются ради себя котика любимого. - удобная система заметок, но зачем она нужна? Игроку ничего не надо подмечать и по большому счету запоминать, ход событий продуман разработчиками за игрока. - на первый взгляд прикольная система дедукции, но зачем она нужна? Игрок не может сделать неверных выводов. В итоге система превращается в перебирание ответов, пока не выпадет единственно правильный вывод или будет максимально скучное очевидное решение, которое служится буквально за 2 секунды. - возможные технические проблемы: вылеты, баги с невозможностью к дальнейшему прохождению после загрузки (приходится переигрывать эпизод в игре - где нельзя скипать диалоги...), даже при стабильных показателях кадров игра будто бы просаживается в фпсах (показывает 60, а на взгляд все 40). - управление на геймпаде довольно топорное. Из плюсов: - не плохой вариант для начинающих любителей детективов познакомиться с жанром. - зоомир, который еще не успел приесца. - зрелая история при прикольном мультяшном визуале. - разработчики всё-таки смогли впихнуть в самый финал возможность для игрока повлиять на конец истории и добавили 4 какие никакие концовки. - прикольно обыгран режим "Бэтмен зрения", ну вы же кот: супер слух, супер нюх, супер зрение, топ скилы для любого сыщика. 6ть плащей из 10ти. »
