Play Magazine 100/100

« Sonic Heroes will fill you with a sense of pure fun seldom seen in the annals of modern game design. [Jan 2004, p.50] »

Gamezilla! 90/100

« Sonic may never topple Mario from the throne of excellent adventure games, but this latest attempt goes a long way to prove that there’s plenty of room for two fantastic gaming franchises at the top. »

Next Level Gaming 90/100

« I absolutely love the music in this game. »

Nintendojo 88/100

« Combining the classic play mechanics that made the classic series so addictive and a new set of team-based skills, this is probably the most in-depth Sonic title yet. »

Deeko 85/100

« While the game suffers from some rather terrible camera problems and the adventure itself isn’t overly interesting from a storyline sense, the gameplay and action is fast, furious and fun. »

Nintendo Power 84/100

« As a loyal devotee of the series, I couldn't be more excited about Sonic Heroes's focus on high-speed action. I loved the "Sonic Adventure" games, but this is Sega's hedgehog at his finest. [Mar 2004, p.117] »

GameReviewer 82/100

« If it weren't for the sense of redundancy that comes from the too-large environments (and from playing through many of them multiple times as the different teams), this title would have been just about perfect. In the end, Sonic Heroes certainly isn't perfect. However, it's a great step in the right direction. »

Weekly Famitsu 80/100

« 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - 32 gold [Vol 786] »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

Smiley360 5/10

« Sonic Heroes isn't a good game, but hey, at least they tried. A frustrating game. »

KrashTheBot 4/10

« Not that fun, and playing the same game 4 times with very slight changes feels more like a chore than anything else really. Bad game. »

« The positive user reviews for this game are scientifically irrefutable proof that Sonic fans are imbeciles. »

gb_k 7/10

SonicSweeps79 8/10

« Sonic Heroes is a vibrant, high-energy evolution of the franchise that successfully translates the series' signature momentum into a unique multi-character experience. By shifting away from the more somber tones of previous entries, this title leans into a bright, "blue sky" aesthetic that feels like a pure celebration of the Sonic universe. The transition to a three-character team system is a masterstroke of design, allowing for a seamless flow between high-speed sprinting, vertical exploration, and satisfying combat without ever forcing the player to come to a complete halt. »

Cameronyoutube 10/10

« I find this Sonic Heroes game really well put together like I say you've got all Sonic's friends but the catch is you can't you can't pick one person you've got to play as all the people first to unlock a secret ending if you don't do it correctly you will be there for maybe a long time so if you do understand this message keep your guard up and keep your lives up as well good luck Sonic fans »

« I actually wasn't a big fan of this one. Its too long and some of the stories are just dumb. »
