Mario Party 5
Mario Party 5

« Adds a few nice modes to the Mario Party series, but if you already own "Mario Party 4" there is absolutely no reason to upgrade. »
« Waking up bleary eyed the next day, our mouths taste like dry Toads and the room smells of Peach. But that won’t stop us going to Mario’s for another party, with so much to do if he threw a party every day of the week we still wouldn’t get ‘board’. »
« The added Super Duel Mode (which would also be good online) brings a new aspect to the title. Bottom line, despite its shortcomings, Mario Party 5 proves once again why the Nintendo Gamecube is the system to own for multiplayer fun. »
« Probably the biggest step in making improvements than any of the other sequels has made. Bottom Line: If you're a fan of the series, you won't be disappointed. »
« Doesn't do anything to revolutionize the franchise, but it's still one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences around. [Jan 2004, p.155] »
« It may not replace traditional board games, but Mario Party 5 is another solid addition to the Mario Party franchise. »
« The real draw here are the minigames, and as always, they are all new. Of course, some are variations on themes passed down, but there are more than enough that surprise and delight to no end. [Dec 2003, p.80] »
« As far as party games go, this is still your best bet. [Jan 2003, p.49] »

« in this Mario Party you have been transported into someone's dream and these boards are all dream-related but who is this person who's dreaming when you go through these worlds they don't tell you that but you'll probably find now when you keep grinding through the boards give it a go and let you let me see what your reviews are »
« Everything is perfect. Star Spirits returns from paper Mario 1, Story mode its awesome. Characters, boards are fun »
« This is so far my favorite Mario Party, despite having played a few others. I love the minigames, the boards (for the most part), the whole dream setting, the capsule system - these are all nearly perfect. It is a much more stressful game than the later parts, you can never quite foresee what will happen next, and honestly, that's great. It is also crazy fun to play with others. The only slight issue I have is the single player "story mode". You have to make Mini Bowsers lose all their coins mainly through minigames and that's the whole thing. Mario Party 4 has one where you play normally against three other computers and that one also has much more content, so I wish it was a bit different. It's still decent though, I prefer this single player mode to the one in Mario Party 6. This fifth game also has great extra modes, my favorite being card party. There is overall so much to love about this game, I'm glad I played it. »

« This was arguably the best era for the Mario Party series. Not much to say about it, very similar to all of the other Mario Parties on the Gamecube with slightly different mechanics and fresh mini games. No complaints really, up there for one of the best games in the series. »
« hello itsa me mario again ranking another mario game for the gamecube this time its mario party 5 the one about dreams where you get inside dreams and play for stars yeah yeah whatever itsa 10/10 because i'm in it and also there's a very high chance you'll love the music in this a game made by me mario which stars me mario, personally my dreams are sleeping with a peach but unfortunately that'll never happen and i'm just a wasting my time saving her from bowser's ass getting nothing in return every time. Anyways that was my review on mario party 5 buy it and have fun, 10/10 »
« Here is when the GameCube era of the Mario Party series really started to come along! We have some new characters this time around. While DK has been relegated to a space on the board, Toad, Boo and Koopa Kid make their playable debut in the series. It’s too bad DK isn’t playable but it was an interesting experimental concept that worked well. The boards look much more different from each other and are a big step up from the previous game. They’re all very fun and interesting, such as Sweet Dream, Toy Dream and Pirate Dream. Team matches return from Mario Party 4 and every pair of characters has their own custom team name which was pretty funny. Items are replaced with capsules but they essentially work the same way. The difference is that you get them randomly, but they are free. I’d rather be able to choose which capsule I want sometimes but they don’t cost any coins which evens it out. Either way they are fun to use for messing up others! There are some extra modes which spice things up as always. The minigame selection is very good with some great stand out ones such as Coney Island, Pushy Penguins and Hotel Goomba. This was a great entry to the series, and it, along with Mario Parties 6 and 7, are what truly define the awesomeness of Mario Party to me! »
« In my personal Opinion One of the best Mario Party's but not the best due to the fact that it's just not as good as Mario Party 7 »
