While the shift to a more HoYoVerse-style gacha system is disappointing (pity of 80 pulls versus PGR’s pity of 60, 50/50 coin flips on banner characters with a 100% guarantee after failure versus PGR’s 100% guarantee with no coin flips), Kuro Games remains relatively generous with free currencies (often as an apology for some kind of screw up), log-in campaigns, and events. Overall, the game is gorgeous, a treat to listen to, and a blast to play. Lovable and endearing characters and an intricately detailed world make Wuthering Waves one of the most high-quality games in its specific market. »

Its combat is very solid, and the exploration aspect is also fun. Its biggest faults are the story, which is very weak, and the voice acting of some characters is subpar. To Kuro Games’ credit, they are working to address these issues. The game has been patched constantly since I started playing, and they are working to address the voice acting. If you’re looking for a fast-paced action game and a deep, open world, I recommend Wuthering Waves. If you’re more of a story person, maybe wait to see if the story improves. »

Its combat is polished and sophisticated, rewarding reactivity and pushing me to carefully consider my builds and teams. On top of that, the Echo equipment system ties your character progression into the environment in a way that encourages exploration, which can be satisfying despite the repetitive process of fighting overworld mobs. Unfortunately, the story is a bland, exposition-heavy slog, with dull writing and voice acting that rarely kept me interested. But while the quests may not be what’s pulling me along, I’m still looking forward to checking back in with the next major update to see how Wuthering Waves evolves. »

This review is not about the gameplay - it's about my experience with customer support.I needed support to unlink my account. I provided everything they asked for: registration information, purchase receipts, screenshots, account details and every piece of information I could possibly provide to prove ownership.After that, they told me to log in on my primary PC for 7 consecutive days without switching devices so they could verify my account.I did exactly that. In fact, I logged in on the same PC for 10 consecutive days. I did not use another PC or my phone.After those 10 days, I opened another **** response?"Our records indicate that you have logged into your account using different devices. Please log in using your frequently used PC for another 7 days."No **** **** indication which "different device" they supposedly **** ticket was immediately closed **** I followed every instruction they gave me, only to receive the exact same automated response and another closed **** most frustrating part isn't even that they couldn't verify me. It's that there is no real communication. If their system believes another device was used, tell me which one and when. Otherwise, how am I supposed to fix a problem I can't even identify?The game itself is good, but in my personal experience the customer support has been one of the worst I've dealt with. If you ever need account assistance, be prepared for automated replies, closed tickets and a verification process that, at least in my case, led nowhere despite following every instruction. »

« The most Lore-Magnificent, Story-Diverse, Quests-Fabulous, World-Picturesque, Combat-Elegant, Character-Flamboyant, and Gacha-Gratifying— Gacha game I have ever experienced. This observation is shared after completing the Colossal Ragunna-Septimont main quest. Additionally, after a few main quests even the MC (Rover) feels like a 5 star character.This is the type of game where you yearn to roll for every 5 star character (not only is there gameplay fantastic, their individual quests (companion quests) are also awe-inspiring and they are structurally woven into main quests)). Therefore, give this game a play, even the first hour will prove Fascinating (atleast for majority of Gacha fans) »
