Grab our latest ARPG with the Eko Hack'N'Slash Bundle!

Hello everyone, We hope you've been keeping well. At EKO Software, we've been working on a spiritual successor to Warhammer: Chaosbane called Dragonkin: The Banished for over a year now. The core selling points are the Ancestral Grid, which lets you upgrade and adjust your abilities based on modifiers attached to fragments, your companion pet, the Wyrmling, which influences your attacks, and the city of Montescail, which can be upgraded and developed, giving buffs and advantages to any character that calls the city home. Throughout Early Access, we've made numerous changes based on player feedback. We've removed the generator / spender system, reworked the city progression, introduced multiplayer, and added numerous quality of life features that should appeal to fans of the genre. We're getting closer to the 1.0 launch of Dragonkin: The Banished and to celebrate we've set up a bundle for fans of our games. If you own Chaosbane and you'd like to pick up Dragonkin, you'll be able to save through the bundle, or if you've yet to pick up either, you can get both at a discount. Check out the bundle:

We're going into Early Access on March 6th and would love to see you there! We know how passionate the ARPG community is, and want to get as much feedback from our players as possible. Early Access also gives us the opportunity to invest further into the project, possibly altering or expanding the scope of our plans for Dragonkin: The Banished. Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Shacknews 90/100

« Warhammer: Chaosbane is an absolute treat for fans of the Warhammer universe. If you like dungeon crawlers or Warhammer in general, you should definitely pick this up – especially if you don't have a phone. Be sure to check out the full review above for an exciting look at Warhammer: Chaosbane, which should absolutely be on your radar when it comes to Game of the Year considerations later in 2019. »

IGN 87/100

« Warhammer: Chaosbane can stand proudly alongside some of the best games that have used the foreboding, Gothic Old World as a setting. »

MMORPG.com 87/100

« There is no question that Warhammer: Chaosbane has truly delivered on a high quality, full featured ARPG experience. »

GameSpace 85/100

« Progression is a bit slower than similar games on the market but that is not necessarily a bad thing. »

The Games Machine 80/100

« It doesn’t really introduce anything new to the genre, yet Warhammer: Chaosbane is a nice hack & slash ARPG with a deep and engaging endgame. »

The Digital Fix 80/100

« Despite some controller woes, Warhammer Chaosbane delivers a solid and robust action RPG experience that is certain to delight both hardcore and casual fans of the genre alike. »

3DJuegos 80/100

« An interesting Diablo clone based in the universe of Warhammer. Really fun if played with other players in coop mode (local and online), but too predictable playing alone. »

Digital Chumps 77/100

« Layers of Fear 2 is a worthwhile experience, and even more so if you consider the launch price of $30. I can’t say I found it as thought-provoking or chilling as the first Layers, but it’s still pretty solid. The story, writing, sound design, much of the game design overall really, outlasts the lesser, but still very significant, flaws of the game. »

Waetsch 9/10

Statt in Stärke, Geschicklichkeit etc. »

rafael3do 10/10

« It's a great game, I could say that the lore is immense, the gameplay is very calm and easy to play with a controller for the feedback system for direct actions on the controller, the universe seems a little familiar as there are already games in this style like Starcraft, but the The setting is perfect and everything is finely tuned for a smooth, high-progression hackslash. I can say that in gameplay it surpasses Diablo and with a complete end game and a season-like season system. negative point is not as well known as it should be, especially in Brazil »

TrueOptimist 8/10

« A fine little ARPG in the Warhammer universe. It's not going to take the place of a Diablo or Grim Dawn, but it still has its moments and enjoyable for fans of the genre. »

Geralt123 7/10

« Game is actually pretty fun. Yes, it is repetetive, but Grim Dawn is also. Graphics are beautiful and the skilltrees are super powerful. I think, this game is underrated. »

wolfaust 5/10

« The combat design in the game is terrible and not player-friendly at all. When you play with the expectations you expect from normal hack-and-slash games, you don't get much. That's why you can't enjoy the game mostly! The class diversity, races and creature groups that we are accustomed to and love from the Warhammer world were what I liked most about the game. However, the combat design is so bad that I deleted the game without thinking twice. Although the game has a playable concept and general game design for those who love hack-and-slash games, the game is not sustainable due to the poor combat design. In addition, instead of incorporating content such as XP Boost, Gold Boost, etc. sold for the game into a mechanic you can obtain in the game, the development team makes a very bad decision and sells them for money. I don't know how this idea came about. When you look at it this way, the game seems to be a pay-to-win game. Isn't it funny? Warhammer: Chaosbane is a game that you can enjoy with your friends due to its hack-and-slash mechanics, the biggest problem of the game is its unfamiliar combat design, as I have stated several times above. Think of it like this: You play as an Empire Soldier, with a shield in one hand and a sword in the other, fighting against the spawns of the Chaos Gods while shouting "FOR THE EMPEROR AND THE EMPIRE". However, these creatures sometimes pretend to be dancing with you, wander around a few times as if they were on the beach, and attack you again if they wish. All creatures do this except bosses... You have to run after them, or if you wait where you are, they come back to you. When they first see you, the creatures charge at you, but after a while, they act like you're not there. If you get lucky a few times, they will try to attack you again. This was the most strange and unattractive, as well as bad combat design I've ever seen in my life in a hack-and-slash game. As a result, if you can stand it and get a very good discount (I mean it, It should be a good discount), you can buy it with your friend and try it. However, it's not worth your time right now. »

« Péssimo jogo. Um valor super elevado para um jogo todo bugado. História genérica. Mapas genéricos. »

KinimodYunmi 7/10

« It is fun at times, but also annoying and there are many, many bugs. And some will probably make you redo missions four times or more. AND every chapter 1 map looks like the same, every chapter 2 map looks also like the all other chapter 2 maps, every chapter 3 map looks also like the other chapter 3 maps, only the boss fight area is different. We was allways happy, when we finished a chapter to see a other map and same new enemys. »

Klewer 6/10

« It's not a bad game as such, but it's quite repetitive and everything feels the same. Better options out there like Grim Dawn for the same price. »
