Description (IGDB)

Star Wars: Demolition is a vehicular combat game set in the Star Wars universe created by both Luxoflux and LucasArts using the Vigilante 8 game engine. The premise of the game is that the Galactic Empire declares they have officially banned Jabba the Hutt's podraces, so Jabba creates a more life-threatening vehicular combat contest to replace the sport of podracing.

Histoire (IGDB)

The galaxy is engulfed in a devastating civil war. But on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine, crime lord Jabba the Hutt continues to prosper amidst the chaos. Involved in almost every criminal venture, the Hutt has amassed a vast fortune through gambling, smuggling, and other vile acts. Yet his greed knows no bounds. The Empire has outlawed the dangerous Podraces, but Jabba has devised an even more dangerous underground contest to attract high-stakes gamblers from across the galaxy to his betting parlors on Tatooine....

Avis des critiques et joueurs

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Sega X 90/100

« The thing with Star Wars Demolition is that you have to be patient. Even Master Yoda would advise patience in this instance. »

Dreamcast HQ 80/100

« What do you get when you cross Activision's "Vigilante 8: Second Offense" with the greatness of Star Wars? Star Wars Demolition! And I mean this literally. »

Happy Puppy 80/100

« It's always nice to see a license stretch its wings succesfully. »

AllDreamcast 76/100

« One of the nice things about Star Wars Demolition, at least for those of us who don't take the Jedi religion seriously, is that the game is pure action, void of any of that Star Wars cheesiness and horribly lame dialog. »

IGN 76/100

« Despite all my gripes about the visual and gameplay flaws, I actually enjoyed playing the game... in small amounts of time. »

GameSpot 74/100

« SWD might seem like some half-baked attempt to cash in on the Star Wars license, though it's actually a competently executed game. »

DC Swirl 70/100

« An absolute blast to play. »

Game Revolution 67/100

« Blowing stuff up in Demolition is definitely fun in all its Star Wars glory, but the more you play, the more you'll notice the imbalance in gameplay. »
