Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes
Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes

« The first improvement is that everything is smoother. »
« Overall, it's a far more enjoyable experience than you'll find in most of the Dynasty Warriors series, and it's nice to see some competition for the a game type that doesn't get a lot of love in the Western side of the world. »
« Unashamedly dated, but still surprisingly addictive and good fun if Warriors games are your bag. [Issue#198, p.95] »
« Mindless, but glorious button-mashing fun, full of crazy characters and over-the-top moves. »
« It's easy to see that this is a Playstation 3 version of a Wii game. But that doesn't stop it from being good fun for all manga fans out there. »
« Quotation forthcoming. »
« If this is your kind of genre, then you'll get plenty out of this game. »
« Despite some very obvious issues, Sengoku Basara is a gleefully self-aware package of big, stupid fun. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« The over-the-top nature of Sengoku Basara helps elevate it far and above the easily repetitive Warriors games from Koei Tecmo, and the amazing soundtrack is impossible to not recommend. The dub is solid, albeit a little cheesy at times, and repetitive missions do hold it back. But this is some of the best hack and slash combat from a PS3 game outside of God of War or Devil May Cry. This is a hidden gem that critics misunderstood. »
« Incredible game, it really impacted my life, perfect in every way for lovers of the musou style! »
« Always like the basara game, the fighting gameplay is very smooth, yeah its fun game »
« Very underated hidden gem in the west.. Ive heard cry babies complain about a lack of content . I think these people are not only wrong but completely missing the point. Sure this game is slimed down compared to the latest Dynasty warriors or Orchi games. But honesty do people need 100 character with4different playstyles and 40 stages that really are just different routes through 5 or 6 maps.. Sengoku Bassara has a good amount of characters all which feel unigue and gorgous are varied levels. Everythinf looks modern and current gen, not like a psw upscaled game. I love the Warriors games, but if your going to ignore this based on some entitled whiners opinion, you might be doing yourself wrong. »
« Capcom took the Dynasty Warriors formula and improved it in every way. It's certainly not original, but it's way better. Everything about this game is over-the-top and insane. Basara embraces that insanity and proudly shows it off. There's an entire ocean of these 'one versus many' style games and for me, this is the standout title that keeps bringing me back for more. »
« Platinum the game like mons ago.this game shows what Dynasty Warriors is needed and yet you can see that on latest dynasty warriors game.this game is puregold despite the low ammount of fans. - character design's is Ok if not better or worst. - Worlds/stages is bland but still acceptable. - The improve mechanics from previous SB2:H is well made. the only thing i hate on SB franchise is the character **** the long characters you've love from SB 1 and 2 are no more.move forward. really Recommend and the game still looks amazing to date. »
« One of my new favorite game series that Capcom should give more love to rather than the constant Street Fighter 4 rereleases they made for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game's story is mainly focused very loosely on the Sengoku period where it offers different stories for each character. After completing different stories, you unlock different characters, titles, another costume for the character's story you completed, called garments, and you level up along the way. There are also Quick Battles which are just the same kinds of battles you would do in the Heroes Story mode. The gameplay is very similar to the Dynasty Warriors games in terms of beating hordes of enemies since it is categorized as part of the Hack and Slash genre. The voice acting is pretty good for the English version that I played. They use voice actors are from previous video game series as well as other anime series, which if you look up the names, you'll be sure to recognize somebody. I can't say how the voice acting for the Japanese side of things is because the English version does not contain an option for Japanese dialogue. I'm sure it's good but I can't be too sure about that. Overall, it's an addictive experience that any age bracket or a player of another genre can get into if given the chance. »
« for fans of button mash vs the swarm like Dynasty Warriors this is a perfect game. It introduces challenge fluid control and character customization options. There is really not much to say other than that I havent had this much fun slaying hordes of enemies ever before »
