Avis des critiques et joueurs
Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« Intensively addictive. The battles are lightning-fast, the controls are completely stress-free, and there’s still something primordially fun about filling up those Pokédex pages. »
« With the game’s ability to trade and battle with friends, plus incredible amount of Pokemon to capture and train, you won’t be putting these two down anytime soon. »
« These games are massive, easily rivalling any recent console release in terms of size, scale and re-playability. »
« The amount of depth involving the Pokemon contests, berries and other new details is truly astounding. [Mar 2003, p.135] »
« Nintendo took an already great design and made it better on the GBA, and while it's a bit more than a little disappointing to see a lack of focus in the graphics department, it's the sheer amount of "stuff" in the product that makes Pokemon for the GBA a really, really great game. »
« The game is bigger and deeper than previous incarnations. The core gameplay is still the same, but now there's a lot more to it. »
« I’ve uncovered a marvelous new gaming world that I love immersing myself in and now my nephew and I can talk with equal zest about our various Poké accomplishments. »
« The new weather system and extended map, like the radio and real-time clock of Gold and Silver, are features that make the Pokemon world so much more real. [Summer 2003, p.36] »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire are a strong evolution of the series that really defined what the franchise would become going forward. Hoenn is one of the most memorable regions, with its mix of land and water routes, diverse environments, and a sense of adventure that feels bigger than the previous generations. The gameplay improvements at the time were huge. Abilities, natures, and double battles added more depth to team building, making battles feel more strategic compared to older games. Even today, the core mechanics still hold up surprisingly **** story is simple, but it works for what it’s trying to do. Team Aqua and Team Magma give the region some personality, even if they aren’t the most complex villains in the series. What really carries the game is the journey itself and the feeling of gradually exploring Hoenn. There are some issues, like slower pacing in certain parts and a lack of post-game content compared to later entries, but the overall experience is still very solid. »
« Il salto grafico più "drastico" di tutto Pokémon dal GBC al GBA seppur non sfruttasse al pieno il GBA Rubino e zaffiro risultavano e risultano molto piacevoli allo sguardo grazie alla loro art direction di prima categoria è un gameplay ben curato peccato solo per trama e **** orribili... 8/10 »
« Solid game but it gets pretty boring after a while I think personally. Not the best game of all time for sure. »
« Hoenn is my favorite region and has some of my favorite pokemon designs of all time. This game does have it's flaws, like having way too many uber legendaries (they just made them too OP stat wise) and this snowballed into issues later on for many generations of titles. Lacks a lot of things from Emerald and is generally considered the inferior version. »
« [SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.] »
« A fantastic game with many great features. The story was great, and I really liked the elite four battles. »
« Outdated graphics not playable nowadays. Play Omega Ruby instead. 1 Point for Groudon »
« rispetto ai suoi predecessori rubino e zaffiro sono stati un salto qualitativo mostruoso dal punto vista visivo ma sempre entro dei limiti, il gameplay e la mappa è trai migliori di pokemon in assoluto come il livello di sfida offerta dal gioco, tanto quanto la sua storia non troppo originale e il suo cast poco soddisfacente ma sempre meglio di quello che avremmo visto in seguito su ds con la 4 gen. 8.4/10 »
