« Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection evolves the spin-off with a more mature story focused on the war between two kingdoms, strategic combat based on pattern reading, and more varied and vertical exploration. The game delivers a solid, addictive RPG and is a strong contender for one of the best of the year. »
« I had high hopes for Monster Hunter Stories 3 already, but I never expected it to be this good. Between the improvements from past games and new mechanics introduced here, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is cementing this series as the premier RPG in the monster-taming genre. I still can't believe how good it is. »
« Intricate, immense, and incredible. Twisted Reflection is the biggest and most immersive expansion of the iconic franchise so far. »
« Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection demonstrates that the series has really come into its own in recent years. With its engaging story, strong visuals, and excellent soundtrack, it immerses you in a wonderful world filled with unique creatures. The Monsterpedia offers a great mix of classic monsters and newer additions from more recent titles. Combat can feel a bit random at first during clashes, but once you unlock the Rite of Channeling, you can customize your Monsties to your heart’s content. If you’re looking to dive into this vibrant world and push back against the encroaching threat, this is an easy Recommendation. »
« Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a masterpiece. It brings real heart, delivers immersive combat, and nails one of the most satisfying exploration loops in a vast universe—where rediscovering your Monsties is just the beginning. »
« With a story that really goes places, a massive roster of monsters, and a stack of interlaced systems that combine to give the player a huge amount of choice and agency, Monster Hunter Stories: Twisted Reflection is the best in a trilogy of superb titles. »
« I think Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a great introduction to this spin-off series, especially to those with a fondness for detail and strategy-heavy monster collecting and explorable fantasy adventures. Given how fantastic Monster Hunter Stories 3 is, if the next game in the series can provide an even stronger outing, I’ll be paws-itively impressed. »
« Only the mildest inconveniences dampen the experience. Make no elder dragon bones about it, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is the best in the sub-franchise, and one of the best JRPGs on the market at present. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« After 28 hours in Mhs3 I'll say this as a returning player whose favorite 3ds game was mhs1. Excuse me if I sound all over the place. No block with great sword. I take too much damage from monsters whilst also having no way to upgrade armor. My partners do more damage and take less than me. And having one in battle is a basically a must. No multiplayer in a franchise where multiplayer and guilds have been the main focal point. No dueling despite perfecting the rite of channeling. No dungeon exploring with other players. They reintroduced elemental changes in monsties. A mechanic that was a favorite for most in the first game. Yet the appearance of every monstie is just a lazy color swap. I wanted back my ice element Pink Rathian That had icy accents rather than a full color change. It's not a "Pink" Rathian anymore when you just make it blue and call it a day. Another little thing is the menu. It feels so convoluting and confusing. There's just too much going on and I never know where to go immediately. They should've made the arrow buttons on the left controller editable shortcuts for the monsterpedia and such. Instead it's preset and the up arrow only zooms in and out the minimap. A feature I never need to use since I'd rather press the minus button for a full scope; or just press the right trigger to see the objective highlighted in the over world. Even selecting a weapon is difficult. The top of the weapon menu features two columns; one for elements, and one for the weapon type itself. Should make things more simpler, right? So tell me, why would they map the top column to the ZR and ZL buttons, and the lower one to L and R?; when on your controller the L and R buttons are on the top, and the ZR and ZL buttons are on the bottom? I can never get use to it because it doesn't even make any sense. Customization isn't bad, but still pales in comparison to mh wilds. Especially when it comes to curly/coily hair types. Do I like the afro? Sure. But this is 2026. From what I recall mh wilds had more variety when it came to my hair type. Which made me happy. And there's only one voice for your character. So far, characters feel boring af. They're designs are cool, but that's it. And Rudy really lives up to his name. He's so rude and obnoxious. I've never liked the palicos in any of the games because they talk too much and add very little to actually gameplay. Whereas in the mainline games they're actually there to help you and not just yap and take all the credit for the work you did. Oh and if you talk to an NPC, your character won't even look at them. No zoom in or focus either. And yet there's so many characters to talk to. The castle town in Azuria is large and detailed, and yet so liveless at the same time. If you're looking for the same experience you got playing the first game. Or even the second game, think again. If you're new to the series however, maybe you'll enjoy it far more than a returning player. There's a lot of improvements (like fast kills in battle and on the field), but to be honest, the stuff they took away just makes it feel meaningless. »
« Monster Hunter Stories 3 had so much potential but was sabotaged by very questionable design choices and a lack of post launch support. The only good thing about this game is the refinement of the turn-based combat and a good variety in Monsties selection for each element. The bad: No proper High-Rank endgame after defeating the final boss. No Free Flight. No multiplayer co-op. Can't remove the Ratha from party. It doesn't feel like a proper Monster Hunter Stories game. Monster Hunter Stories 3 feels like it was rushed out by the Execs for their Quarterly Earnings. CAPCOM's greed is ruining the Monster Hunter series. The insulting $10 DLC with no new monsties or gear is the last nail in the coffin for me. I recommend getting the base game on a deep discount and avoid the Rudy's Story DLC, it's garbage. »
« A LAZY, EMPTY ENDGAME — TOTAL BETRAYAL Rating: 1/10 (PS5) Capcom has completely abandoned Monster Hunter Stories 3, leaving players with absolutely no reason to keep playing. This final "update" provides zero actual endgame progression. The free content is incredibly lazy, giving us nothing but un-rideable "Royal Monsters" with artificially bloated health bars to force a tedious, empty grind. Worse, the paid "Rudy" DLC is a pathetic, 20-minute cash grab slapped together just to legally fulfill pre-order obligations. By completely stripping out PvP and co-op dungeons, they destroyed hundreds of hours of replayability. There is no endgame loop, no end game high rank no, no extra weapons/armour or any new monsties etc, no multiplayer raids, and absolutely nothing to do once the credits roll. Treating a Monster Hunter title as a "one-and-done" single-player game with no live roadmap is a massive slap in the face to veterans who expected a proper post-game. Save your money. Once you finish the story, the game is entirely dead! »
« Juegazo, la historia es sorprendente, tiene unos gráficos increíbles, el mundo está genial y muy bien hecho, el combate pensé que iba a ser muy aburrida pero al final me gustó mucho »
« Une histoire vraiment complète, avec des cinématiques tout juste incroyable, j'ai pour ma part était complètement conquis par ce scénario ainsi que par cette évolution de ce jeu. »
« There is no endgame but thats basically the only negative thing I have to say about this game. »
« Another amazing game made by Capcom. Very good. It took me 95 hours to finish, no rush, just enjoying the main story, some side quests, fighting and capturing monsters, etc. The story is nice, the graphics are great. And the combat is really good. Recommended 100%. Plays and looks amazing on switch 2. Better than the demo, higher resolution too. »
