Mario Strikers Charged
Mario Strikers Charged
Description (IGDB)
Mario Strikers Charged is a Mario soccer Wii game and the sequel to the Nintendo GameCube game Super Mario Strikers. Up to four players can participate in this game as play soccer, attempting to kick the ball into another opponent's goal. The soccer in this game, however, has several differences than the real soccer, such as the ability to tackle other players with a minimal penalty, using Mario-themed items to give players an advantage over their opponents, and playing with stage hazards effectively. This game places a higher emphasis on individual character attributes compared to its precedent, by not only assigning stats, but by also giving team captains a unique Super Ability and the Mega Strike, an opportunity to score up to six goals. Another introduced mechanic is the power level of the ball: indicated by the color of the glow, the shots of the ball become more quick and powerful the more active it is, thus making it easier to score goals with.

« A phenomenal addition to the Wii's library and will rival GoldenEye 64 in terms of the exhilarating multiplayer experiences that it offers up. Don't turn your nose up at it just because you don't like soccer or you'll be missing out on one of the best gaming experiences around. Now, bring on Super Smash Bros. Brawl! »
« While we can see some people getting frustrated with the tricky AI later in the game, the emphasis on multiplayer and online action makes this an essential Wii title. [June 2007, p.72] »
« Nintendo reminds us once again why they are the kings of multiplayer games with the release of Mario Strikers Charged. The non-stop and over-the-top insanity while playing with three friends simply must be experienced. »
« Mario Strikers: Charged Football is yet another game that sums up the ethos of the Wii - pure, unadulterated, accessible fun. »
« Wii's first online title and also Wii's best multiplayer game. The action has a very polished feel to it, and there are plenty of different tactics and teams. The graphics and single player modes could have been better. [Aug 2007] »
« Destined to join games like GoldenEye and Super Mario Kart as an incredibly fun multiplayer experience. »
« If you're looking for a game that's vaguely soccer-themed and a lot of fun, then strap on your body armor and head for the Mushroom Kingdom. [Sep 2007, p.84] »
« All of the above adds up to a game that is fun, with enough depth to the action and strategy to keep Mario Strikers Charged in regular rotation, particularly when I need a game to cleanse the palette during and after the 4th Quarter. »

« I couldn't believe Nintendo made Mario plays soccer and this soccer man definitely was really good to say all the characters have power-ups the current is have snazzy fancy shots and also there is a tournament story where you've got to earn your ranks to go to the biggest cup of all and you're also unlock three bonus characters in this game as well good luck all »
« Absolutely disgusting excuse ****, You're telling me that Mario and Luigi care for each other and love each other, yet they're willing to kick each other into an electric fence over a soccer game?! How the **** did Nintendo allow that **** to be put in this game?! It's even more disgusting and disturbing when you realize that Bowser does the same exact thing to Bowser Jr., you know, HIS OWN **** SON! Again, how was this approved by Nintendo?! They shouldn't allow brothers, friend groups, and family members kill each other over a game of **** soccer! What's worse is the losing animations! Mario throws a **** fit like he's a god damn 2 year old all because his so-called "best friend" Yoshi scored a goal! Isn't Mario supposed to be happy that his best friend scored a goal?! It's even more sickening when Bowser does the same thing to his own **** son! Nintendo should NOT have allowed this much violence in this game! Why couldn't this game be a normal **** soccer game?! Mario Sports Superstars has a soccer mode that has no electric fences and actually plays like normal soccer, so why couldn't this **** be like that?! Don't buy this game! It's an absolutely disgusting and sickening game with unacceptable behavior and gameplay mechanics and play Mario Sports Superstars's soccer mode instead! »
« marioyu herşeye eklemişler bu yorumları yazınca fark ettimde futboll ne alaka ya güzel ama »
« Its an unfair game forcing you to learn bad mechanics without givingf the player any tutorials whatsoever, the player is forced to play through an entire Cup again after losing a single game in the knockouts and there is no way to quit the game during a match without losing. These points make the game very repetitive as it forces many people who are not that good at the game to constantly replay the very boring cups and face the same enemies again and again. While this game has a great soundtrack and really cool visuals, its edgy and unfavorable gameplay just don't do it for me. Maybe if they balanced the game more instead of making it grungy and edgy it might have been as good as the first one. »
« Mario Strikers Charged still holds up to this very day. The aesthetic is great and very different from the usual mario style. The gameplay is crisp, the singleplayer is shocking fun, and the new mechanics are far better than expected. Even the motion control stuff is actually quite fun. I might be blinded by nostalgia, but even then, I think this is by far the best mario sports games and one of the best sports games in general. »
« This is an excellent game. The gameplay is easy to understand and very satisfying. The ambiance is dark and this very unusual for a amrio game, that makes it really unique. Each character has different statistics this pushes the player to be more strategic and allows them to be more technical. On the other hand, the graphics are not very nice, and the tournament is a bit useless unless to unlock new characters and maps. Great game! »
« Muy divertido y algo mejor que su antecesor, pero aun así no me parece tan grande la variedad de contenido aquí, la copa final es implacable (lo fue para mí), buen juego de mario para jugar con amigos. »
