08 novembre 2005

Gameplay de Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

PGNx Media 80/100

« The game changes a few of the things Harry fans have come to expect from the games, and though aimed at a younger audience, Harry fans will find a lot to like in the game. »

Digital Entertainment News 77/100

« Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire delivers the expected “you’ve seen the movie, now play it” goods, though tedious collection quests and a dearth of fresh material that goes beyond the movie storyline will limit the game’s appeal to the teen-and-up audience. »

Play Magazine 75/100

« A fine, if not predictable, bit of movie gaming. [Jan 2006, p.49] »

eToychest 75/100

« Series fans will find a lot to love in this title, which offers an attractive, immersive, and most importantly, fun excursion into the world of J.K. Rowling's imaginative works. »

Armchair Empire 74/100

« A sharp, visual style and a great co-op mode that overcomes the average action gameplay provide a wonderfully wizardly good time despite a too-short and too-easy escapade. »

GameSpot 73/100

« It's a worthwhile platforming experience for hardcore Potter fans, but some may be put off by all the collection quests and backtracking. »

Just RPG 73/100

« While Goblet of Fire might be a more exciting and fun game than the rest of the Potter series, it still lacks many of the ingredients that made the Lord of the Rings-based games so much fun. »

IGN 72/100

« The game's not perfect. There are some camera issues. Some AI issues. And I really would have preferred to have more control over spells. But it still arrives as a solid entry to the series. Kids will probably like it a lot. »

« No more open world, no more Hogwarts exploration, replayable levels, where you can't advance if don't complete 100% the previous, a totally disaster »

Viarone 3/10

« Compared to what the order of the phoenix game was, this was absolutely nothing. Weird world with weird combat, arcade like playstyle. Feels like a bit of a cashgrab with Harry Potter noises and sounds. Story was done quite well but it didn't provide a jawdropping experience like the order of the phoenix did. »

« Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out in 2005. I originally played it back in 2009 but remembered nothing about it except that it was co-op and the trio liked to do a lot of screaming about ‘BEANS!’ I got in the mood to play the old adventure games again and also was wanting a co-op experience and decided to try out Goblet of Fire again. Oh boy, I did not remember this game at ALL! There is no free-roaming in this game at all like the previous installments had and the adventure aspect is similarly non-existent. Instead what we get with Goblet is a level by level game that requires you to go back and play them again NUMEROUS times once you have the proper spells in order to continue with the game. This game keeps you from continuing on by requiring a certain number of Triwizard Cups. And the only way to get them is by replaying levels at least three times, and let me tell you that’s the last thing you want to do. This game is not fun even when playing with someone else. For some reason there’s also a new card system that is supposed to upgrade your magic, health, etc but you really only need about three cards and there’s sooo many and you’re supposed to buy them with beans! If you’re feeling like you want to go back and pick up a Harry Potter game, avoid Goblet of Fire like Little Hangleton’s graveyard, you won’t see the ending to this game. »

« After first three Harry Potter games, which I thought are more on a bad than a good side, this one is definitely the worst. I honestly don't think it could have been worse than this. It has a disappointing gameplay and bad system with levels. I do not even to mention the story. I am surprised that I even played this one till the end. »

« As a Harry Potter Fan I really love this game. It has a pretty cool 3-Player-Coop which I used to play with my best friends a lot who also love HP. »

Basquilly 8/10

« It's been quite a few years since I completed this game, but as I recall this was a very faithful adaptation of the movie, and had very enjoyable gameplay. I might be wrong though.. »
