GamingBolt 100/100

« Dragon's Dogma 2 is a landmark release for open world action RPGs. From its thoroughly immersive world and its stellar combat to the incredible emergent gameplay its bevy of systems enable, Capcom's long-anticipated sequel delivers spectacularly in more ways than one. By definition, it's going to turn some people off with its many eccentricities, but it's those eccentricities exactly that make it such an utterly unique and unforgettable experience. »

Eurogamer 100/100

« A huge improvement over the original, and a captivating journey from beginning to end. »

NME 100/100

« Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sprawling RPG adventure that innovates on the absolute best open world design trends while encouraging and rewarding player agency. There’s potential for players to pour hundreds of hours into this world and still not see everything there is to see. This, combined with top-of-the-range combat, makes for one of the most exciting games we’ve played this decade. »

Gfinity 100/100

« Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the ultimate version of Capcom’s fantasy adventure, offering unparalleled, visceral combat against stunning and imposing mythical creatures and thoroughly rewarding exploration you need to experience. »

GLHF on Sports Illustrated 100/100

« Dragon’s Dogma 2 starts out with the same level of mystique and overwhelming scope that Elden Ring hits you with, but once you understand how this world functions, you become a master of it. It’s daunting, sure, but after you overcome that initial hurdle, it’s incredible. I adored tearing through goblins, shooting ballistae at drakes, clinging to flying dragons, and changing the very fate of the world as the Arisen. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is easily the best action RPG of 2024 so far – and is very unlikely to be dethroned – and manages to go toe-to-toe with FromSoftware’s magnum opus in terms of how impactful and absorbing exploring the world feels. This is what Dragon’s Dogma was always meant to be, and it’s a masterpiece. »

GAMINGbible 100/100

« Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a surprising, maddening, glorious masterpiece. »

The Enemy 100/100

« In Dragon’s Dogma 2, every system, every combat and every companion teaches us that there is weight in our decisions. Choices bring consequences. When something changes, it changes for good. Therefore, when we enter this final stretch and our will is not only capable of reshaping reality, but also the very tool through which we can bring the game to its end, it is also necessary to recognize the excellence of the game. This is also why frustration leads to admiration. Yes, I wanted to go back. But that would go against everything that makes Dragon’s Dogma 2 special. I can create another game, another reality, but that one was definitive. And what better way to leave a world real than to make it definitive? »

Impulsegamer 100/100

« Ultimately, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an odd combination between Skyrim, Elden Ring, and Tears of the Kingdom that scratches a very unique itch. It might not be for everyone, but it’s certainly for someone, and it’ll be exciting to see what kind of DLC Capcom have planned for it. »

« It ****! It's just **** sooo hard. Poorly made p*ss poor pathetic excuse for an RPG. If you wanna be screaming at the screen and throwing your controller at the TV outta frustration this is the game for you. Virtually every aspect of a regular rpg is broken in this game. Massive waste of time and money. I enjoyed DD1 but highly regret this turd of a sequel. »

Crycass 8/10

« This is the closest thing to a spiritual Elder Scrolls successor, and it honestly excels at being one seeing as modern-day Bethesda is undoubtedly going to butcher the inevitable sequel, but to merely call this a game inspired by another successful franchise is doing it an injustice. I get burned out super quickly with ARPGs (or any game with an open world for that matter) yet I can’t remember the last time I sat down and found myself getting lost, settling in, and having a genuinely fun time with a game of this caliber. Usually I disparage them within an hour, but this one gripped me in a fashion very few games manage to do. It’s a weird, underappreciated mishmash of games I already know and love (Skyrim, Shadow of the Colossus, Breath of the Wild) with its own unique flavor layered on top. In more ways than one, it reminds me of that increasingly rare sense of discovery in N64’s Ocarina of Time. Hoping for the future QoL updates and the expansion to add in more content and iron out the performance issues. »

CHAOSbutler 9/10

« Exactly what I was hoping it would be. Plays like an updated larger version of the original game. Graphics are great and most vocations are great. »

Iamtitan 5/10

« Dragon's Dogma 2 was highly anticipated by me, and I bought it right at launch, but it turned out to be deeply disappointing. The traversal especially, along with fighting an excess of tedious enemies, dragged the whole experience down, and the combat system could have been so much better. That was my wake-up call about trusting critic organizations. They're easy to manipulate or coerce, with publishers able to influence the critic scores their games receive. User scores make far more sense by comparison, since they're not easy to reach or sway at scale, and doing so would be prohibitively **** be careful, folks. I'd rather wait for other users to rate a game before buying it, and make sure a large number of people have actually voted, because statistics drawn from just a few can give you skewed, misleading information. So be careful guys. I would rather wait for other users to rate it before you buy, ensure that there are many users that voted otherwise statistics from a few can also provide wrong ferfected information. »

« First 20 hours was very fun. Then I got tired of how hard it is. Not like elden ring hard. But it was tiring. No fast travel and the ducking griffins were annoying. Deleted after 26 hours. Everything was nice until battahl basically »

Wydell87 5/10

« I liked the first one, so I expected a lot of this one but no, outdated graphics and null enemy variety, Theres no freedom in exploration, there are roads with false freedom sensation, you cant even climb like Zelda or Crimson Desert, at least I bought it on sale, not recommended »

patfish 9/10

« More enemy variety would make this game a **** has one of the most beautiful open worlds ever created, and its combat system is among the best in the genre. There is no stupid quest-marker rally, no constant fast-travel teleporting orgy — the game does not hold your hand, but instead rewards you for truly exploring its beautiful world.A DLC with new content and more enemy variety could turn this open-world RPG into one of the best ever made. »

Franceitalie 10/10

« Un jeu ultra complet, narratif et avec l’exploration récompensée. Excellent »
