Dicey Dungeons
Dicey Dungeons

« I had my doubts going into Dicey Dungeons, despite the pedigree present. I was worried the core reliance on random dice rolls would create a frustrating experience for the player. And while I've had those moments, I always felt that I could look back and say "that's where I went wrong" and not "the random numbers just didn't work out in my favor!" That alone is an incredibly feat. Stack it on top of six incredibly unique character mechanics, episodes that force the exploration of alternate playstyles, and an expertly crafted aesthetic, and you have another absolute slam dunk from Terry Cavanagh. »
« Dicey Dungeons overcomes the reputations of its genres to become one of the most original and immediately enjoyable games of the year. »
« A brilliant Indie time-killer that's easy to pick up but oh so difficult to put down, Dicey Dungeon deserves lavish praise for its simple design but perplexing gameplay. A must-have for deck-builder fans and dice junkies alike. »
« If you love building decks, strategizing five moves ahead, and combating randomness, Dicey Dungeons is the game for you. If not, you still might want to consider giving it a try for the cute, game show aesthetic and chiptune soundtrack alone. And who knows, you might be surprised how much you enjoy the deck building. »
« Dicey Dungeons is a smart little game you can play whenever you want, just 20 min in between other activities… until you realize you’ve been playing it for hours. »
« Dicey Dungeons is a charming, fast and cheerful roguelike that has more to offer than you might think at first. No two runs are alike. Dicey Dungeons also respects your time. In just under half an hour you dice your way to the end. »
« Endearing, compulsive, and just weird enough to want to keep exploring. »
« Dicey Dungeons is a brilliant rouge-like deck-building game full of humour, hard-as-nails gameplay and plenty of replayability. The six playable characters are so different from one another that players are sure to find one that fits how they wish to play the game. Whether you want to be an aggressive warrior or a sneaky thief, there’s something for everyone. »

« very little depth, the dices being rigged make for a frustrating experience, the dice mechanic could have been explored more »
« I really liked the game for the style and the type. After playing Balatro for some time, I was looking for another roguelike/lite, and even though Dicey Dungeons was not exactly what I was looking for, it still impressed me. I'm looking forward to playing a lot more of it. Understanding all builds and mechanics to maximize for the best runs. The music is really nice, helping immerse myself in a mood and vibing. It also matches and adds to the goofy aspect of the art style. Would recommend! »
« Roguelike assez sympa, avec l'utilisation de la RNG comme élément principal. Les six personnages disponibles offrent tous une expérience differentes avec en plus le système "d'épisodes" pour corser la partie. A essayer ! »
« I’ve been playing dicey dungeons the past few days and while i see how people can have fun with it the game constantly screws you on purpose giving you dice and your enemies great rolls consistently (yeah I know it’s rigged) still makes it not fun. The characters abilities while different aren’t unique nearly enough to keep me engaged for long play Periods leading me to only do 1-3 runs at a time depending on how deep I go. There’s not a lot of cards to find and the art style/ enemies come off as cheap rather than artistic choice shining through. For its normal price that’s a lot for a game with little depth, no real Story or engaging features to keep you coming back and the episodes are frankly mundane at best and show why this game isn’t worth sinking so many hours into at worst. It’s not horrible but it’s certainly ain’t good either. »
« I always love an even game. This is the strongest point here. The gameplay and mechanics are intuitive enough, but I love the balancement work: eveything you can do, the opponents can, and everything the opponenst can do, you can. And still it is balanced! You should not expect a major emotional lore here, the game is intended to be funny, but still i got caught up in what it wanted to narrate me. »
« The RNG on this absolutely ridiculous and unfair. Absolutely ruins any enjoyment from this game. This game absolutely cheats. »
« Le jeu est incroyable sur nintendo Switch très bon rogue-like et le sentiment d'évolution est juste impec je recommande ce titre grisant et addictif ! »
« One of the best games I've ever played with a perfect price point. So much content. If you like dice, board games or even CCGs like Magic: The Gathering, you will love this. The art style is gorgeous. »
