Gameplay de Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

BonusStage 60/100

« It follows the beloved storyline with a wonderful cinematic flair, top-notch audio design, colorful yet simple graphics and a basic set of gameplay mechanics. However, a lacking of innovation and overall gameplay and graphical polish stunt the game’s full potential and leave it as a just-above-average title only fans of the material and/or genre will find any value in. »

GameZone 50/100

« Charlie and the Boring Factory. It's hard to make a fun game based around these kinds of properties, but that doesn't justify bad gameplay, or a lack thereof. »

Next Level Gaming 47/100

« With all of the gameplay and control issues, the game simply isn’t any fun. »

IGN 45/100

« It could have played like a slimmed down version of Pikmin crossed with quirky, yet solid platformer elements. Unfortunately, bad control and poor execution ruin the experience. »

IC-Games 45/100

« Started with brilliant presentation and gameplay and deteriorated from that point on. Although the novel twist of trying to save the ‘bad’ kids does add something for fans of the book, they’ll be advised to rent this title before the sugar sweet memories turn into a sour aftertaste after shelling out for this lacklustre platformer. »

Play Magazine 45/100

« A bare-bones run-of-the-mill 3D puzzle-actioner saturated with eye-bleeding color and overflowing with tired devices and clunky gameplay. [Sept 2005, p.56] »

Game Informer 45/100

« This has to be one of the worst games I've had the displeasure of playing in quite some time. [Sept 2005, p.100] »

PSM Magazine 45/100

« The surreal visuals occasionally impress and the voice acting is fair (no Depp though), but there's too little fun. [Oct 2005, p.94] »

« I don't care what anyone else says, this game was aimed towards kids when it released and myself and my brother both agreed this game was Brilliant it's Replay-a-bility was great The fact it was a tie in to the Movie makes it even better, if you have your imagination you will enjoy this game too. Feeling like being apart of the movie felt great and even today the nostalgia hits hard. »

« I love the game, I give it a 10 because it is the same as the movie, I play it when I am bored and it has great mechanics, I know that the Oompa Loompas are buggy but that does not take away the fun, thanks for creating the best game in the world »

« This barely has anything to do with the movie. Black umpa lumpas, horrendous mechanics, terrible and I mean terrible graphics, stupid level designs. This was the hardest game to complete solely because of how ass the game was, not even difficulty wise either as it's pretty simple. »

« Charlie and the Chocolate Factory may not be as good as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate **** game is no better. »

« This game seems to intentionally want to be hard to play. It has multiple levels that are exactly the same, with no way around them, and has other parts that would be fairly workable if the cameras were in sensible spots. They aren't, so you can't see where you are trying to jump, then they shift mid-way through your action, so what was a right move is now a wrong move, you fell, haha try again. And again. And again. I got tired of trying to get us past everything. It's just not fun. »
