Il se présente comme un jeu d'action-aventure à la troisième personne situé en France au XIVe siècle, pendant la peste noire. Le joueur incarne Amicia, une jeune fille protégeant son petit frère Hugo alors qu'ils fuient l'Inquisition et traversent des environnements envahis par des nuées de rats de la peste. Le gameplay mêle discrétion, résolution d'énigmes et combat léger, en s'appuyant notamment sur le feu et la lumière pour gérer les hordes de rongeurs. L'histoire, qui se déroule en 1348 en Aquitaine durant la guerre de Cent Ans, voit Amicia et Hugo, séparés dans leur enfance en raison d'une maladie du sang dont souffre le garçon, perdre leurs parents lors d'une attaque de l'Inquisition et devoir survivre dans une campagne dévastée en s'alliant à d'autres orphelins, tout en découvrant que l'intérêt de l'Inquisition pour Hugo dépasse la peste elle-même. Disponible sur PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 et Xbox Series X|S, le titre utilise le moteur Zouna et propose une durée de onze heures pour l'histoire principale et seize heures pour une complétion intégrale, au prix de 20,99 euros. Accueilli favorablement, le jeu obtient un score de 81 sur Metacritic et de 82 sur OpenCritic, la presse saluant notamment sa capacité à combiner horreur, action, survie et récit, tandis que certains joueurs recommandent l'expérience pour ses belles histoires.

« لعبة رائعة بمعنى الكلمة إستمتعت بكل لحظة معها قصة رائعة وأحداث درامية مؤثرة أعجبتني طريقة اللعب كنت أتمنى لو أضافو سكين تحمله إيميسيا دائما معها والقدرة على القتل الخفي، لم تكن مجردة لعبة بل تجربة مذهلة أعجبتني النهاية كيف تحولت الى صعوبة بالغة في حرب الفئران. »

A relação entre os personagens também é bem interessante ao longo do jogo. A gameplay tem alguns aspectos divertidos, especialmente as mecânicas dos ratos.
