« A story campaign, a parallel PvE campaign, a 6v6 PvE mode, two different enemy factions, co-op, single-player, different Space Marine classes, more weapon loadouts, thousands of enemies on-screen. When you list it all down like that, it could sound like Saber Interactive was destined to come up short on at least a few aspects of this game. However, I am consistently blown away by Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II and how it has managed to do it all. It's a bombastic action fest that reminds you of the best games of yore. A triumphant achievement as not just a Warhammer 40,000 game, but an action game for the ages. »

« Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is a game for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike, providing great cinematic action gameplay and genuine fun that can be experienced alone or with a group. It’s my favorite game of the year so far, and try as I might, I can’t find anything to complain about. It’s just plain good. »

GameSkinny 100/100

« Space Marine 2 is the ultimate Warhammer 40K experience. It perfectly captures the essence of 40K and transfers it into the action-adventure format. Its three game modes offer countless hours of gameplay and tons of customization options to look forward to. For Warhammer fans, this game is a must-play, and a perfect entry point for those uninitiated into the lore of 40K. »

WellPlayed 95/100

« To completely divorce myself from my long love of Warhammer, I would still estimate Space Marine 2 as an exceptional gaming experience. The narrative can only get as deep as the genre allows but even within those limits it plays with interesting ideas, the very nature of the beast being one of disconnection, with forty generous millennia distorting our concept of sensibility and preservation. This is a universe of conflict, pain, and endless peril, and Saber has made it incredibly fun to inhabit, with plenty of reasons to revisit and – most importantly – convince your mates to join in. »

« Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 feels like a fever dream. Even if you aren't a fan of 40K, it's hard not to admire the raw artistry on display from Saber Interactive here. If you are, I suspect Space Marine 2 will make you very, very happy. »

Gameliner 90/100

« The Adeptus Mechanicus at Saber Interactive have earned the Omnissiah's blessing by ensuring that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 appeases The God-Emperor's followers. The latest quest of Captain Demetrian Titus against the Tyranids will quench the yearnings of the bloodthirsty, the warhungry, and those who seek to purge the Tyranids and the Forces of Chaos. All hail the God-Emperor of Mankind for bestowing upon us the magnificence of Space Marine 2. »

GameWatcher 90/100

« Space Marine 2 is an old-fashioned triumph that eschews modern trends and vapid bloat in exchange for relentless, gory action and a fully-featured Warhammer 40K package that’s presented in gorgeous fashion. »

IGN Adria 90/100

« Let the blood flow, let the chainsword grind, and let the echo of the thunderhammer be heard - Space Marines will not relent. Xenos will fall at the feet of Guilliman's sons, for every dishonorable enemy is defeated from the start. Finally, a Space Marine game worthy of the watchful eyes of the gaming community. »

« Amazing game, enjoyed it every second. Literally improved every aspect of the original with some beautiful graphics. And unlike the original, the campaign didnt feel short to me »

TheMotaProtocol 8/10

« Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 successfully builds upon everything that made the original enjoyable. Featuring modern visuals, improved combat mechanics, expanded customization options, and multiplayer content, it delivers a much larger and more refined experience. The story continues directly from the events of the first game, making it a rewarding sequel for returning players while remaining accessible to newcomers. The campaign is engaging, filled with large-scale battles, and ends with a clear setup for future games. One of the game's biggest strengths is its presentation. The cinematic sequences are outstanding and often feel comparable to scenes from a high-budget movie, helping to bring the Warhammer 40K universe to life. Combined with its multiplayer modes and overall production quality, Space Marine 2 is a strong sequel that improves on nearly every aspect of its predecessor. »

« Action, brotherhood, and testosterone overflowing from every scene. The combat is top-notch, while the story mostly stands on the strength of the universe and a cast of tough, larger-than-life men. Recommended. »

« Had fun playing the campaign and operations, finishing it in about 30 hours. I am not too hyped to return to it. Major features like the weapon unlocks felt better in the first in the series. »

PenetratorGod 6/10

« Just as I suspected from the trailers before the game came out, even though I didn’t start playing until year after its release, the single-player campaign is incredibly lackluster. The gameplay is built entirely around online play, exactly as intended. It feels like they added the story mode just to avoid backlash, but it lacks variety and immersion. We move through visually appealing graphics and environments, but it feels hollow—just a shell. Even setting that aside, the game fails to deliver in the one area where it’s most ambitious: the gameplay. The lack of weapon variety and the combat become incredibly tedious after just a few hours. You don’t care about the story, but the gameplay lacks the depth needed to keep you engaged. The game has received dozens of updates, but none of them actually improve the single-player experience. They’re just cosmetic additions for the online mode. »

CHAOSbutler 10/10

« A absolute bloodstained combat heavy experience that would make the Emperor proud. Great game with plenty of replayability. »
