Transistor
Transistor

« Transistor contains not only some of the most stunning art design, but one of the best game soundtracks I have ever heard. The droning bass of the main theme is mesmeric, and any music with vocals is astonishing – this is a soundtrack you’re going to want to buy, and composer Darren Korb has absolutely delivered. »
« Taking its name from one of the most seminal technological inventions of the 20th century, Transistor is unequivocally one of the greatest games this year and rivals Journey as one of the best indie titles this decade. »
« Anyone who loved Bastion is going to adore Transistor. The storyline is far more compelling and the combat feels like a natural extension of it. Transistor gives you faster and slower-paced ways to play, and that means it’s going to have a broader appeal. »
« Players looking for a very artistic world with unique narration and an amazing soundtrack, you have just found it. Strategy fans will have a great time taking on the combat, and anyone looking for a great game for $20 should not pass this up. Transistor has the style along with the game play that makes this a must own for many. »
« Like Bastion before it, Transistor is a pleasure to play and an involving experience from start to finish. Its mature story and evolving combat will keep you engaged to the very end, and have you longing for more. »
« I can’t stop thinking about the story of Transistor, even after finishing the game. There is so much mystery and intrigue that left me smiling. »
« Transistor's nuanced world-building and clever storytelling render its narrative original and intriguing. »
« Transistor falters near the end by giving players access to a few game-breakingly powerful abilities, but the anticlimax is more than made up for by its touching story, gorgeous presentation, and imaginative take on the action-RPG formula. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« utter trash. If you've never played a video game before than you might enjoy it. It's just edgy hipster ******. Combat is tedious and boring. it's just a chore. Only upside is that art direction is cool and music isn't bad. They've taken ideas from everything and blended it together into a mess. The edgy narrator is just a creepy **** **** that won't shut it. No clue how any respectable gamer could give this game anything above 5, and only way it could get that high is 4 pity points because of art and music. If you think you enjoyed this game, than please go play Shadowrun: Hongkong and/or Bioshock, that's the games this one is ripping off and doing it very badly. It's basically taken Hongkongs art direction and feel and bioshocks story and made a mashed up **** hipster version... it's terrible.. do yourself a huge favor and play the original ideas. Both those games have vastly superior gameplay and nuanced story. You're welcome. »
« Played this on Apple Arcade and it got boring very quickly and seemed very repetitive cannot recommend. »
« What is effectively one of the prettiest and stylish games I've seen from an indie developer, and yet I have no love for anything else this game has to offer. It's weird how Super Giant games makes games that I just don't click with at all, and i recognize them specifically as games not for me. Although the ending for this game is marvelous for sure. »
« Transistor really enjoyed playing this game , a beautiful sountrack combat was intense and fun only downside that I found is it is a very short game but understandable. Recommend to play! »
« the game has its own world, history, visual design, but the ideas of the previous game (Bastion) are still visible, at first I didn’t really like the combat and only at the end it was revealed more »
« Loved this game. Beautiful visuals, thoughtful gameplay, lovely soundtrack and such a great story. It really is a piece of art. »
« got the game initially after i played bastion. tried it out but stopped playing pretty fast and moved on but couldn’t really remember why. then i went completely down the hades rabbit hole for over 300 hours and thought, "hey you still have that other game made by them, perhaps try it out again". so I did. and the art work, music and seemingly also the story are great. but the combat is just not for me. the "turn feature" is an interesting concept, but doesn’t change that the combat feels clunky and complicated, at least when you compare it to bastion and hades. i’d rather have either a strategic or the hack and slay approach, but for me this doesn’t really mix well, at least not the way they have done it here. which is really a shame, since i'm very curious where the story would take me, but the combat is just way too frustrating and confusing for me. »
