Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream

« If you're in the mood for some hack and slash fun and are a franchise fan or simply love anime characters, you'll have an entertaining time with SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream for sure. It may get repetitive but you're sure to pick it up whenever you want a quick fix. »
« Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is a double-edged sword, so to speak. On the one hand, it captures the fast-paced action of the anime hit excellently in the multiplayer battles. However, newcomers to SAO may have their fun spoiled by the old-fashioned elements and repetitive missions. »
« Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is an SAO fan’s dream and an action RPG fan’s nightmare. While the rewards provide a nice dose of dopamine across each match, there’s not enough content here to justify fans of online action games to invest themselves in. The story might hold you for around 10 hours, but after that, you’re looking at hours and hours of grinding across the same handful of maps and missions, completing uncreative daily quests and begging for something new. Still, the action gameplay is incredibly addictive, but the support needs to show up as fans did on day one to witness the cringy emotional drama of SAO, one more time. »
« As a tribute to the franchise it's not bad, but as a game in general, there are more interesting proposals on the market, whether it's a JRPG or a hack and slash. However, those who don't mind repetition can enjoy it. This is where the line is drawn to decide whether or not to buy the product. »
« SAO Fractured Daydream modifies its formula thru a new construction but still delivers a massive and enjoyable content and gameplay. »
« Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is the first completely online title in the series, with games for up to 20 players, and it works quite well. »
« SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream is a love letter to the Sword Art Online franchise. You get to play your favourite characters from both Sword Art Online and Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online, in a story that unites both worlds. It’s compelling and it adds shock value, especially if you follow the anime or light novel. In addition, the multiplayer campaign is well-built as it encourages teamwork and knowledge of your chosen character. Lastly, there is an incentive to play the game over and over as the in-game achievements challenge you to achieve the highest score and learn what happens to your favourite characters. »
« Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is a competent offline and online RPG, with fun gameplay and plenty of fanservice. However, the title suffers from the simplicity of its missions and scenarios, as well as the repetitiveness of its activities and overly aggressive monetization. »

« A really fantastic online Action JRPG with MMO-lite gameplay, up to 20 Players together in Boss Raids , Open world missions , Free roam Modes , and Parties / Groups / all of that. Free roam modes are always full, Raids are dwindling a bit for low player rank players but still absolutely fun and the game fill out with NPCs if there aren't 20 in a lobby, that being said. If you're playing Granblue Fantasty: Relink which is fantastic (and overall better) then you are in for a treat cause SAO FD just offer more freedom, more options , bigger worlds for online and that's where the meat is The reason why it's got a (VERY CORRECT) backlash is because they thought it's legit to sell a Online MMO like Multiplayer focused live-service game with cosmetics, a season pass that you can either buy or grind for and other live service bs for 60$ ... and then ask for more if you want some other microtransactions That's not cool, game is great, crossplay for all platforms together is appreciated, but it should of been either free or 10$ , So please wait for the sale it always has and get it for 17$ and don't get any of the cosmetics, just enjoy the game, add friends to your groups and make new friends, and honestly this is peak fantasty rpg, just expensive and devs that only give cosmetic and characters in updates so the best way is to either get it free somehow or buy it for 10-20$ max. What it offers as an experience though, is very ambitious , and does it very well. If you like Granblue Fantasy Relink , MH like games , and or MMOs like PSO and Final Fantasy XIV , this might absolutely be up your alley and it's a chill game with a bit more freedom, it's not better than those, but why choose? it's really good. »
« Why did I give this game an 8? If you really like Sao you will enjoy it, but you must have seen each chapter and movie, good original story combat, it is a good game, good graphics and animations, I practically do not understand the poor grade of the media, when I have played 56 hours I have understood the true meaning of this game, it lasts little but it is not boring because you handle the situation it's not perfect but it's not bad that's why instead of a 68 I would give it an 81. »
« Had a decent time with it and as a casual of the genre I found the combat generally enjoyable. Playing this version of the game made a better impression to me than what I expected from videos and reviews of previous titles in the series and it didn't do the anime series a disservice (which was my impressions of the first game that was released after the series). In terms of mechanics and leveling up I rank it lower than most modern RPGs, but it didn't make a dent in the experience. »
« So far, one of the best SAO games we've had. Not only the Online is pretty fun, but the combat is too. An okay story that's not bad nor great. And very fun customization. Although the grind can be a bit too much, and you need to finish a few chapters in the story to unlock all characters. Also, you need to finish the story to unlock one more mode where you basically fight countless enemies just like Bloody Palace in DmC 5. Overall, very fun game. Would recommend for the Online itself. »

« First of all, there is some false marketing going on. You don't get the "early purchase bonus" unless you pre-ordered the game. That aside, the game is filled with issues. When playing online, most games are already filled with 50-75% bots. The story is pretty boring, and the story quests are very monotonous with lots of time spent traversing empty maps with occasional enemy encounters, and finding the hidden objects in each story quest is a **** combat is janky and feels sluggish, and the menus are poorly designed and often unresponsive. There's also a battlepass which requires a lot of monotonous tasks to level up, but the stuff you get from it hardly makes it worthwhile, with only three or so interesting rewards. And there's a cash shop, with very overpriced **** least the characters are somewhat varied, but the game just feels so grindy, and if there's already a lack of players for the online, I can't imagine the game having much of a playerbase in a few **** in all, it can be fun at times, but more often thannot it feels like the game is just designed to annoy you or waste your **** recommended. »
« We FINALLY get an SAO game where its fun in every aspect! The conbat might feel clunky and stiff, but with more time passing, you can master it and will feel fine from it. Story is also well written, every characters have their time to shine as well. Most importantly, it is NOT dragged out into a 24+ hours playtime. I finished this game in 15-17 hours, and the story is really good, especially with every character being likeable (some villians might be debatable) Although, the level design is a huge area which works for Online and fun. But they used it for the story as well. Which i think is fine, but prepare to do a lot of running (Some better level design will come around Chapter 3) Overall, this is BY FAR the best SAO game we have. It's Online is also alive and kicking with DLC and more incoming soon. A lot of replayability too. This game is for both SAO, and Non-SAO fans. It is possible to enjoy in any side. With a story that is also not hard to follow. »
« While there are some smaller QOL issues in the game that slightly frustrated me from time to time, the overall package is a pretty fun experience that will definitely be appreciated by players who are already into this type of game. Despite it's various game modes both online and offline, It is a notably repetitive game and grinding for upgrades and better gear is part of that experience, but that shouldn't come as a surprise to players who are already familiar with the series. If I had to compare SAO: Fractured Daydream to a similar game, it would be Granblue Fantasy: Relink. It's not quite as polished (a few QOL issues), but the gameplay loop is quite similar. There are 22 characters to choose from that belong to the classes of Fighter, Tank, Rogue, Ranger, Mage and Support. They all offer different approaches to battle, and their differences can be further amplified through equipping high end gear that accentuate their respective strenghts. There are cosmetic mictrotransactions in this game, and I imagine some people will have an issue with that. I don't personally mind them. Even the premium cosmetic items can be farmed for without having to spend any money, and it's definitely up for debate if it's even worth it to farm for those, let alone pay for them. There are a ton of free cosmetics that can be looted in solo/story mode, or has a set chance of dropping in the online modes, and some of them arguably look better than the premium ones. Overall, it's a fun game that's "not quite exceptional" in any way, but fans of the series will nonetheless likely appreciate the quality of what's there, and people who enjoy this type of game will definitely have a lot of fun with it. It should be mentioned that this game has more of a "live service" based approach than other games in the series, which may not be everyone's cup of tea. Edit: The amount of bots (AI team mates) in online mode been another frustrating addition to my experience with this game. It might not be a big deal for everyone, but after several games of being teamed up with bots in game modes that more or less challenge you to speed run to the boss, it's been demoralizing to continuously have to rely on unpredictable and largely unproductive bots to get you there fast enough to be able to compete with teams that consist of actual players. »
