Gaming Nexus 100/100

« It delivers on the promises of the first game and then some, offering razor sharp controls, a beautiful art style one of the most visceral action experiences of 2010. There's really nothing else like it right now. »

Vandal 92/100

« Red Steel 2 is a great game that offers an efficient combination of sword and gun and won't disappoint those who try it. »

GameShark 91/100

« What's most amazing about the game though is how well Ubisoft Paris was able to take the system it given and play to its strengths. »

GamesRadar+ 90/100

« The first let so many down, while part two succeeds in just about everything it set out to do. Maybe it's the bundled MotionPlus, maybe it's just better programming, but we left Red Steel 2 thinking it could be the most improved sequel of all time. If you've given up on Wii shooters, here's a reason to rethink your stance. »

3DJuegos 90/100

« Red Steel 2 is not only a great sequel but also a great shooter, a competent action game and one of the best Wii games overall. A title recommended for cowboys wishing to became a violent samurai. »

NintendoWorldReport 90/100

« With a subtle progression of moves, an excellent sense of empowerment when you defeat a tough area, and a solid learning curve, Red Steel 2 manages to keep up the pace throughout its 10-hour adventure. »

Eurogamer Italy 90/100

« After years of vain promises and long before Move, Natal and who knows whatever else, Red Steel 2 is finally ready. Swordfighting has never been so fun and intense: don't skip this amazing Wii exclusive, this is the game we've all been waiting for... Now get ready to fight! »

« It runs amazingly well on the wii and if one wants it can become a game where one moves oneself quite a bit. »

« Red Steel 2 made full use of the Wii's motion controls and wii motion plus, and made an incredible, first person, hack and slash shooter, that is simply super fun. The celshaded visuals that are similar to those of the borderlands series look amazing, and hold up even now in 2023. The controls require your swings to have actual power behind them, and both this and the aiming of guns is accurate. The special moves are all quite cool, but sadly the kusagari powers are quite unbalanced, the eagle and dragon are both quite weak, and almost never used. The tiger is far too strong, especially against bosses, as it is an easy to land counter that allows you to easily hit multiple slashes, and even often some special moves. There is a lot of special moves and weapon types aswell as upgrades for them, but theyre all linear progressions, that simply make you stronger, which makes you play mostly the same every time you play. The story, while relatively simple and very short, is engaging enough to have you listen during the (usually very cool) cutscenes. overall one of my favorite games of all time, and certainly the most underplayed and underrated wii game, by a long shot. i can gaurantee that everyone who likes hack and slash games will enjoy this. »

« this game its so frenetic the lore and animations are god too a hidden gem that all you are have to play »

Yojimbo2015 6/10

« Sequel to FPS Red Steel, this instalment concentrates more on swordplay and adds more characterful visuals in a similar vein to No More Heroes. A nice attempt to try something new but the original was actually more fun to play. »

Bruninho1997 10/10

« Explora com precisão as possibilidades do Wii Remote. Eu me senti dentro do jogo! Os gráficos são muito bonitos e a jogabilidade é sensacional, muito imersivo se tratando das limitações do Nintendo Wii. Arrisco dizer que é o melhor FPS do Wii! »

« An experiment worth playing once , Wii motion controllers truly makes is an interesting game to play and it's very cheap because it didn't sell so you should probably buy it , The story feels like it's an anime from the 90s but that's ok because this is just some fun And has enough character to pull you through, But does this game has replay value I would say no but that's mostly because it's a kind of one and done kind of game when you have played it once you've seen all the Game have and there's nothing left to go back to experience again »

maisel97 9/10

« While the main story leaves something to be desired, Red Steel 2 brings forth one of the greatest combat systems from the 7th console generation. The implementation of motion controls in conjunction with the pointer functionality of the Wii Remote adds a whole new field of attacks to play around with in its combat system. Graphically the game is absolutely stunning even today. How the dev team managed to make a Wii title look THAT good is just mind blowing. The fact that the game retains a smooth frame rate is even more impressive. All this alone makes Red Steel 2 by far one of the best character action games of the 7th generation of game consoles, if not of all time. This is a title that would fit perfectly for a remaster (if not a sequel) on Switch. »
