Concernant l'accueil du public et de la presse, les avis divergent. Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Hey Poor Player 90/100

« Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition is a fantastic turn-based strategy game. Its unrivaled world-building and innovative combat make this a must-play for fans of the genre. If you can overcome the lack of variety in the early game, then be prepared to lose hours upon hours as you race to save humanity from complete obliteration. »

Video Chums 82/100

« It definitely has its issues but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition. From its clever battle mechanics to its depiction of a world at the brink of utter annihilation; it's one immersive and exceptionally rewarding SRPG. »

God is a Geek 80/100

« An SRPG big hitter just got bigger, but did it get better? If you are up to the challenge, this is the best the genre has to offer on PS4. »

PlayStation Universe 75/100

« Phoenix Point manages to blend the very numbers-based approach of classic X-Com with some of modern XCOM’s streamlining. The result is a colossal, cavernous tactical strategy game that struggles to hold its shape at times. Its wealth of information and systems requires patience, but if you can persevere, it’s very much worth the time. »

MGG 70/100

« Two years later, the same assessment can be made for Phoenix Point, even if it is an interesting tactical game with potential, it is still not finished. Some of the bugs have been fixed, and the content has been greatly enriched by the DLC included in this edition, but shortcuts have been taken, which spoiled their potential, and no effort has been made to really integrate them into the whole. Balancing is still an issue, and progression can become frustrating if you increase the difficulty. As for the console port, it's satisfactory in terms of controller controls, but you'll need to have a lot of patience to tolerate the excessively long load times. »

Metro GameCentral 70/100

« On paper it does everything XCOM does and more, but poor balancing and overcomplicated rules means it’s just not as much fun. »

Finger Guns 70/100

« Phoenix Point is a game I desperately wanted to love. It has exceptionally complex and deep mechanics, solid turn-based combat systems and fun global strategy gameplay, coupled with a decent story and some decent new additions to provide it its own identity. It is also, however, riddled with technical problems, inconsistent mechanics and frustrating difficulty spikes. Like a true phoenix, it can rise with glory when it wants to, I only wish it didn’t thud back down to ashes so frequently. »

Eurogamer Italy 70/100

« Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition is a strategic RPG with uninspired artificial intelligence, technical problems and with some drops in framerate on PlayStation 4. Despite an engaging story, it is a porting that doesn't bring big news. »

I won't be getting xcom 3 either this developer is burned with me should changed their name from deep silver to deep **** »

« As a big fan of Xcom, and after playing over 50 hours Pheonix Point here's my review: 1. The idea is great indeed and promises a lot but delivers very little. 2. The game is very unbalanced and after playing for a few hour, fights are not fun at all but rather repetitive and annoying. 3. The resources are TOOOOO scarce and super annoying. You don't feel like making any developments. Scavenging missions are so not worth it: spending an hour of a boring fight for very little amount of resources. 4. There are no useful and cool research development for guns and armors. 5. I see no point in air fight! Super boring and just based on chance. 6. Armoured vehicles are totally useless! 7. Every action and development is so expensive and doesn't really make that much difference. 8. Soldiers are the wose. You technically just need snipers! 9. When Pandorans are going to attack your base with thousands worth of facilities you should receive A BIG NOTIFUATION but instead there's just a small note on the top right corner which it's highly likely to be missed! 10. There's no defence system for bases!! How's that possible?????? Overall, the game is so annoying and lot fun at all. »

« I myself really like this game while waiting for X-Com 3! You could say, this game is like another version of X-Com series with all its uniqueness. These are 10 reasons that the game IS NOT for you if you : 1. Don't like X-Com 2. Don't like challenges 3. Are impatient person 4. Don't like complicated gameplay system 5. Don't like turn-based strategy 6. Like to complain a lot! 7. Not ready for crashing often 8. Don't like random enemies & random loots positions 9. Are not a quick decision maker 10. Get stress easily X-Com fans must play this game. I highly recomend. »

« Я так и не смог оценить игру, вылеты каждые 2 миссии, а иногда и при сохранении. »

Spartan11762 5/10

« I am very disappointed by this version. Here are my gripes. 1. Crashes way too much. 2. Tactical nonsense. For instance, an enemy cannot be seen by standing directly below your units if yours are on a higher level. Bears no relation to reality and was evidently coded by a fool. Players units can look round corners but not over ledges? Sack whoever did this. 3. Psychic warfare? Give us a rest. Leave it out. Its bollocks. 4. The air to air combat is the most ridiculous, childish, space invaders nonsense. Again, who thought this would be a good idea? Its poorly thought out rubbish. 5. The politics are half baked nonsense culled from any half dozen pulp sci fi novels. Come up with something original for goodness sake. Good bits. 1. Tactical movement and firing are more flexible. Overall? Wait till you can get it for a fiver. »
