Le contenu compte plus de quinze crimes à élucider, plus de vingt lieux uniques et des milliers d'objets dissimulés, ce qui rend chaque partie différente. « A pioneering game in its genre — the Hidden Object Game — which, despite not having a great story, manages to entertain and keep you hooked until the end. However, be warned: the Steam version has two issues — it doesn’t support full screen due to its low resolution, and it’s not available in Spanish Still, it’s quite recommendable if you enjoy this kind of experiences. « The first in the Mystery Case Files games, Huntsville is.... fine. It sets a baseline for the series, but it's still pretty. I would still recommend it if you are interested in the franchise. MCF has the through line of hidden objects mini games, starting here, where you are tasked with finding and investigating various crimes in the town of Huntsville. You get a selection of locations, based on the crime, and try and find objects hidden in these locations. However, you end up cycling through the same ones several times, with one or two getting introduced at the end only being played once or twice. You find a certain number of "clues" (objects), which isn't all available objects (but is most of them), then go onto a small mini game where you make an image of the culprit with a jigsaw puzzle. There are 15 cases to investigate, basically repetitions of the level sets. It's definitely rough and tedious, but i found it fun to memorize the levels and get through them faster and faster. However, it isn't the most fun game, and will quickly become tedious for most. Of course, I'm reviewing this more than a decade after release, and it shows. The graphics are particularly bland in this one, the whole game is a tan brown. It does have a somewhat charming art style, with the illustrated villains and some fun aesthetics on certain screens, but it's not much. Story basically doesn't exist, which is fine to me, but could definitely be more annoying for others. Overall, this is an okay showing, and a decent starting point that later installments do more with, but this one may be best left untouched unless you really want to play all the MCF games (as I am doing now), in which it's actually fine. 5/10 »
