TheSixthAxis 90/100

« Kill La Kill -IF- may just be the perfect anime video game. It almost flawlessly manages to embrace the style and energy of the original anime, and translate that into an enthralling arena fighter that is just as much fun solo as it is competitively. The art is incredible, the music is astounding, and the story mode goes above and beyond to deliver a fresh narrative that fans of the anime will eat up. Whether you're a Kill La Kill megafan or just a fighting game enthusiast, this is a must play. »

God is a Geek 85/100

« Kill la Kill The Game: IF managed to exceed my expectations in almost every way delivering a fantastic experience for Kill la Kill fans like myself who have been waiting a long time for a game. »

Digitally Downloaded 80/100

« Kill la Kill is an anime licensed tie-in fighter done well, and given how frequently these turn out to be terrible that in itself is a relief. It's fast, it's furious, it's explicit and fanservicey, and it is outright hilarious in its satire. The developers have nailed every element of Kill la Kill that needed to be done right, and I can't imagine fans wanting anything more from this particular game. »

DarkStation 80/100

« KILL la KILL The Game: IF features exciting arena fighting action and silly yet engaging yarn that together form an exclusive episode for the quirky franchise. The presentation is big, bold and in-your-face, creating a handsome package you really want to dig into. The girls never miss a chance to strike a defiant pose and don’t mind how exposed they are doing so, be it in special moves, combo finishers or psyching up before matches. However, with a limited number of playable characters and ill-founded playing after completing the story with the main girls, the sixty dollar asking price might be a bit steep. »

Shacknews 80/100

« This colorful burst of anime goodness may not be flawless, but it's exemplary for the genre, and another of Arc System Works' great efforts. It's quite short and a bit on the shallow end, but when it comes to presentation and sticking close by to the anime, few titles have done it better. For newcomers, it's best to watch the series first, but for Kill la Kill faithful and Trigger enthusiasts, it's a great weekend rental or purchase. »

GameCritics 80/100

« While I was probably the furthest thing from the intended audience before starting this review, I had an absolute blast with Kill la Kill: IF, and I could almost be considered a convert at this point. It probably doesn’t have much chance as a serious, tournament-worthy fighter and the supporting content is thin, but if this title can win me over, it’s well worth any fighting game fan’s time. »

IGN Italia 78/100

« It’s a gift for the fans of the anime – definitively not suited for those who aren’t – with a well crafted combat system: simple but deep mechanics that can reward players who can read correctly their opponent, even if their execution level is not top class. »

LaPS4 77/100

« The developer has managed to adapt the anime quite faithfully. However, by focusing mainly on the story they have neglected other important aspects of the game, such as the limitation of characters, modes and combat scenarios. However, the pace of frantic fighting and how well it is achieved, adaptation can become a fan. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

AlexMF6 8/10

« A great adaptation, very fun gameplay, and the anime's OST, being by Sawano, is always a plus. It's a shame the story mode only lasts 4 hours, divided into 2 episodes that tell the same story from different perspectives and are only playable with their respective characters. The lack of content unfortunately prevents it from being a truly complete game. »

Igl00Man 6/10

« I luckily bought this game on sale, so I didn't pay full price. That's probably the best time to get it. There's a decent amount of modes in this game, and Arc System Works managed to replicate Kill La Kill's art style very nicely. And having options for English and Japanese voice overs is always a positive. But it suffers from issues that plague other arena fighters. Too light on content, lack of replayability, and feeling way too similar to its contemporaries. »

TyeBuster 6/10

« Not bad, but not good either - absolutely mid. For huge Kill la Kill fans this game maybe very interesting, nor for everybody else. »

aaronnmp96 6/10

« A good game, I am quite a fan of this anime, and the gameplay is very good, it has few characters, it is the most negative point »

kems 5/10

« This is incredible, I can't believe this is an ArcSys game. The game is mediocre (at best) on everything except for visuals, which are really nice. There's A LOT of bad things about gameplay, but WHO THE HELL thought it was a good idea to implement a RNG on a fighting game?. Gosh, I don't remember playing anything more frustrating recently. »

VENOMIS13 10/10

« An absolute perfect arena fighter for my favorite anime every character is different to play and fun easy to pick up but hard to master the art style, soundtrack, play style and story are amazing »

KAM1054 7/10

« Another anime made into a game that if you never seen the show you'll be so confused on what is happening »

Steyraus 9/10

« This game is vicious. I dont think any fighter portrays the speed and craziness of an anime battle as well as Kill la Kill IF. The combat is a basic rock, paper, scissors system, but its well balanced and clevetly implented to be more than this attack beats that. The crazy visuals and fast paced action are a real treat, while at first the hand drawn look seems cheap once you realise the attention to every movement and dedication to the animes style it gorgeous. I really liked this fighter and would highly recomend it , give it a chance at first it seems a bit pretious asking you to sit through long cut scenes but its worth it. »
