God of War: Ghost of Sparta, développé par Ready At Dawn et publié par Sony Computer Entertainment ainsi que Capcom, est sorti sur PlayStation Portable le 2 novembre 2010. Sixième opus de la série et cinquième sur le plan chronologique, ce jeu d'aventure et de hack 'n' slash s'inspire librement de la mythologie grecque et place la vengeance au cœur de son récit. Le joueur incarne Kratos, dieu de la guerre tourmenté par son passé mortel, qui part à la recherche de ses origines et de son frère Deimos, encore en vie selon sa mère Callisto rencontrée à Atlantis, avant de s'allier à lui pour affronter le dieu de la mort Thanatos. L'intrigue se déroule entre les événements de God of War et God of War II, Kratos devant désobéir à Athena pour secourir Callisto et Deimos, ce dernier ayant été autrefois enlevé par Ares et torturé dans le Domaine de la Mort en raison d'un oracle annonçant la chute d'Olympus par un guerrier marqué. Kratos utilise les Lames d'Athéna complétées par la magie de la Colère de Théra, de nouveaux objets magiques et une arme secondaire inédite, tandis qu'un mode histoire est prolongé par le Temple de Zeus permettant de dépenser des orbes gagnées en arène. La durée de jeu est estimée à six heures pour l'histoire principale et neuf heures et demie pour un parcours complet. La presse a salué l'impact du récit et de l'action ainsi qu'un épisode maintenant et élevant les standards de la franchise, et certains joueurs expriment leur enthousiasme pour ce hack and slash portatif qu'ils recommandent, malgré des avis plus mitigés le plaçant non parmi leurs favoris absolus. L'agrégat de notes atteint 86,12.

« Recien me compre una psp para poder jugar este juegazo en la portatil de Sony!, un hack and slash buenisimo es divertido estar explorando y buscando los cofres para mejorar la salud y la magia de kratos :). Tambien aprenderse combos para derrotar a los enemigos es muy satisfactorio. Me pase el juego como 3 veces ya . Es muy divertido, lo recomiendo y mas si lo juegas en la psp (hay una version para ps3 tambien). »
