The highlight of this game is the characters and their dynamics. The world feels alive, and as you're exploring, even the banter between party members enhance the experience. There is just so much content to explore and do within FF7 Rebirth that it feels like the ultimate fantasy experience. It's just hours and hours of fun. The ending is confusing to say the least, and there are moments that could've been executed better. Not to mention some of the mini-games which are frustrating as all get-out. Besides those few minor critiques, the experience of FF7 Rebirth is unforgettable. »

« Just an incredible game. Both narrative and gameplay are executed on such a high level, that it actually shocks you how much and how big it is. There are misses, particularly narratively to me, but again they feel like like seashells on a beautiful sandy beach. The battle system was perfect but having played Remake it doesn’t feel revolutionary, more reaffirming the series’ quality. What shocked me here was the world, and especially the towns. And it must be said, to get all of it on initial purchase with no need for DLC or micro transactions is so refreshing. Just wonderful. »

It's very hard to go back to playing OG's awkwardly bad early 3D after this (as revolutionary as it was at the time). In fact, this Remake series is probably what the developers would have dreamt of releasing in 1997 if the technology had been there. A triumph. 9/10 only because the side quests are a bit too long and repetitive. »
