« The music may be the best feature of this game (And this is a pretty decent game.) The developers did a fantastic job of recreating the series compositions for the small speakers of the GBA. »

« One of my absolute favorite game of advanced games growing up. A very competent and fun RPG especially if you’re a huge Dragon Ball Z fan. In American made Dragon Ball Z game using the American Bruce Faulconer score as its soundtrack is pure DBZ goodness »

« An endeared achievement in polish and personality, that ambitiously represents this world and it's characters through adapting a beloved saga of the anime. The primary hub, West City is wonderfully immersive, expansive and filled with charming errands. Combat while simple, is responsive and fun and.. whether intentionally or not, requires a degree of timing that makes some encounters tough, in so doing, more fitting for the material but not necessarily frustrating. The central flaw of Legacy of Goku 2 is that for all the game does well, it ends abruptly and leaves the player with a singular fleeting bonus cutscene to acquire through grinding additional levels that are absolutely not supported by content or scaling. It's not that you're expected to repeatedly swap tiles on the only 1 or 2 mobs that will move your XP bar at all, it's that the game simply shines bright until it doesn't at all, this completion bonus was simply added as an oversight or an essential closer in spite of a potentially late development crunch. Otherwise they would have done the bare minimum, which is to have a meagre late game zone composed entirely of mini bosses or "elite" threats, that reward substantial experience and are inaccessible prior to completing the story - or - refresh dungeons with harder enemies so that people can at least appreciate the game's environments while inching towards level cap after the story concludes with the power they've earned. Like Buu's Fury after it though, it's one cozy game. It draws you in with addictive but simple power creep and has a lot of common sense quality of life and content structure that makes it breezy to play in short sessions and experience every bit of content it has to offer without obstacle. It's a delightful, accessible time sink. »

« It’s really cool how close to the anime that this game follows. It’s literally like playing through the show. Sometimes it’s unforgiving with the combat/battles, but it’s a fun RPG that fans of Dragonball Z will enjoy. »

« Elite replay-ability. This and Buu’s Fury might be my favourite games of all time. »

« A step up from the original which in itself was a quality game, This is a must buy if you own the system and not just for fans of the TV series. Highly recommended. »

« If you're looking for 2D open world action adventure games then The Legacy Of Goku 2 & 3 (Buu's Fury) are excellent choices. I would love a console remake of this series, sort of like Sleeping Dogs meets Xenoblade Chronicles meets Mass Effect 2. »
