Gamers\' Temple 93/100

« If you like Dragon Ball, RPGs, quirky battle systems or monster collecting and battling games, Fusions should be a permanent resident in your 3DS collection. »

Slant Magazine 80/100

« Based on its turn-based combat alone, Dragon Ball Fusions distinguishes itself from other role-playing games. »

High-Def Digest 80/100

« Dragon Ball Fusions delivers a fresh take on one of the most heavily adapted franchises. Not only is the role-playing game unique in that it tells an all-new story, it has a fantastic battle system that has plenty of depth hidden under an easy-to-learn exterior. This is a must-own 3DS title for fans of Dragon Ball, and a good RPG that doesn't have to rely upon nostalgia as a core selling point. »

CGMagazine 80/100

« It’s one of the more addictive games I’ve touched this year. The Dragon Ball fan in me loves the fact that I can fuse Frieza with Cooler, and Arale with Android 18. The RPG fan in me loves the interesting combat and addictive nature of collecting every character and super move. If you fall into either of those categories, then I have no reservations about recommending this. It’s some of the most fun I’ve had with my 3DS this year. »

Nintendo Life 80/100

« Forget the disappointing video game adaptations of the past, Dragon Ball has finally come of age on consoles. Dragon Ball Fusions fuses fan service with an enjoyable story and battle system to create a fresh Dragon Ball video game experience, with the only blot being the sometimes tedious energy aquisition process . If you are looking for a new and original Dragon Ball title to play on your 3DS, your wish has been granted. »

« Dragon Ball Fusions offers a fresh new take on Dragon Ball video games. Thanks to its fun new concept and its healthy dose of fan service, the game deserves to be on fans' (Dragon) radar. »

Impulsegamer 80/100

« Dragon Ball Fusions is a fun adventure in this popular franchise that gives players a new adventure to embark on with lots of cameos, fun storytelling and good (although repetitive) combat mechanics. Sure, there’s a bit of grinding when it comes to leveling up and collecting energy to access new areas but the gameplay works well on the 3DS with that enjoyable Dragon Ball humour. Best of all, the game gives something to both newcomers and fans! »

The Games Machine 80/100

« Dragon Ball Fusions is really nice game: despite being a little repetitive, rather slow-paced and overall simple, it has a deep combat system that blends seamlessly strategy and sheer chaos, making it a truly fun experience. Perfect if you're a fan of the series, or if you want some strategy in your gaming sessions. »

« Dragon Ball Fusions is one of the best games of all time. The gameplay is engaging, the story is surprisingly good for a Dragon Ball spinoff game, and the fusions bring forth amazing designs. The customization of the player character is quite in-depth, being able to create any character from any franchise, similar to the character creators of the Fallout games. All-in-all, amazing entry into the top Dragon Ball games, and I would love to see a sequel to the game eventually. »

« Dragon ball fusion is not just the best dragon ball game but simply one of the best games of all time, it generally is a well designed game with good puzzles, for lack of a better word, and generally gets hype moments all throughout, while the game does have many flaws, it's a game I can play over and over and over again, and every time it's a different experience with a new team and different characters, the game does have flaws like it needs more playable races or at least more customisation options, but dragon ball fusions is truly amazing and well designed, I am annoyed to Amit this as it has no right to be such a good game, it's a dragon ball game on the 3ds, but it is truly one of the best games of all time, and I'm someone who loves the xenoverse and bootykai games (yes that was misspelled on purpose) but fusions has everything I love in a game, smart combat, team combat, characters hidden behind side quests which means if you want a certain character you will have to go out your way to find them, the fusion mancanic was perfect, tho I have some words for the 5 way fusion, which while hype at some moments I feel could have been locked for only big fights to make the power feel more impactful, but the final fusion at the end of the game (no spoilers) but it still gives me chills until today. »

« As an avid Dragon Ball fan (disclosure), I found this game very entertaining and satisfying. It didn't blow me away at all, but I GREATLY enjoyed the unique combat system and art style. Really pushed the 3DS to its max potential, I feel . »

« I would love a sequel or at least an update or dlc with a Dragonball Super roster and some extra side quest »

Evvex 9/10

« Dragonball Fusions stands as the greatest RPG I have played. It has control setups that are great for the way you traverse the environment. Since you are flying all of the time except in safe zones, you look with the circle pad and move forward using R. To speed up you also hold B. This makes the most sense. As Dragonball RPGs go you can make a custom character, and in this game the mechanic is fully realized and expanded with EX Fusions. Nothing can compare to that in any other game. As a fan of the franchise it has been a dream to fuse with Bardock. The story and side quests have amazing depth to them while making it apparent that none of it is cannon. The only problems anyone would have is difficulty gathering energy (which isn't hard to solve) and the beam clashes don't ever seem to work in your favor. »

« This is probably the best Dragon Ball game I played since Budokai 3. The battle mechanics are surprisingly deep with character placement and attacks pushing characters around the arena. Very funny writing keeping with the tone of the first DB series. A lot, lot of content, big number of side quests and many characters to collect and fuse. My only gripe is probably the awful handling of learning new skills and transferring those when fusing/defusing. If we ever get a sequel, I'd love to see that fixed. »

« Did not expect to have so much fun while playing this game, not a turn based rpg fan but since I love dbz the game was exactly what I needed, loved the fusion part and the whole variety of characters you encounter during the game, like someone who looks like Jayce but is a girl and has totally different hair and clothes, that was a nice touch. Anyways solid DB game, better then the last boring dbz games ( not a xenoverse fan ) »
