Dead Trigger 2, développé et édité par MADFINGER Games, est sorti le 23 octobre 2013 sur les plateformes Android et iOS. Classé dans les genres jeu de tir et aventure, ce titre fonctionne sous le moteur Unity et se présente, selon son résumé, comme une expérience en constante évolution et expansion, chaque mise à jour apportant du contenu nouveau destiné à rendre la partie plus agréable.
L'accueil critique et des joueurs se reflète dans une note agrégée de 67,35. La presse a salué certains aspects de la suite : le site Modojo a ainsi estimé que les fans pouvaient être rassurés car il s'agit d'un opus très méritant, encore plus belle visuellement tout en conservant la destruction charnelle des morts-vivants, tandis que 148Apps a relevé que le jeu surmonte le syndrome de la deuxième œuvre en visant à devenir l'équivalent mobile de productions vues sur consoles. En revanche, des joueurs sur Metacritic ont exprimé des réserves, regrettant notamment que ce qui aurait pu être un bon tireur à la première personne sur Android soit entaché par des microtransactions constantes et une campagne principale inachevée.
