Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

Next Level Gaming 95/100

« Half Life fans would love to know that there is also a Half Life 2 CD with exclusive footage. Let me say, *drool*. »

Computer and Video Games 83/100

« The game we were expecting eight months ago, with bots so intelligent they make your average online player look like a baboon who's been dropped at birth. It's like playing CS in the good old days. »

Game Chronicles 80/100

« If you’re not a hard-core Counter-Strike player, Condition Zero is definitely worth a look. Veterans will probably want to stick with what they've already got. »

Times Online 80/100

« Once you swap AI team-mates (and enemies) for the real thing, there is no turning back, as you find yourself diligently looking out for your team-mates, with whom you will need to co-operate to sweep scenes clean of troublemakers. »

Da Gameboyz 78/100

« An essential purchase for the new Counter Strike player who wants to get a spring into the action, rather than the veteran Counter Strike player looking forward to the future of the Counter Strike family. »

Game Informer 78/100

« The problem is that neither the physics nor the graphics have aged particularly well; if you're looking for a next-gen FPS, this is not it. It is, however, a decent update to one of the best titles of yesterday. [Apr 2004, p.108] »

GameSpy 75/100

« The real crux of Condition Zero is simply that it provides a great way to enjoy Counter-Strike offline, old graphics or not. If you're perfectly happy playing the free Counter-Strike mod online, don't bother with Condition Zero. »

PC Gamer 72/100

« Underlying all the advances made in bot technology and the updated maps, Condition Zero is still fundamentally a five-year-old game...but this standalone package should satisfy both the Counter-Strike-curious and the broadband impaired. [Jan 2004, p.90] »

« Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, yeni çıkan o kötü Call of Duty oyunlarına bin basar hikâye moduyla »

DarkMythHunter 7/10

« 7.0 - Counter-Strike: Condition Zero attempts to expand the classic formula with a single-player campaign and additional content. While the core gameplay remains familiar and enjoyable, the AI and mission design feel dated and inconsistent. It lacks the polish of other entries, but still offers some fun for fans. A decent, though underwhelming, chapter in the series. »

Tadakan 5/10

« This game could have become the foundation for a story-driven Counter-Strike series, but at the time Valve chose a different path - a pure 5v5 competitive shooter with no narrative. Maybe that was the right decision. Still, if you are curious about what a completely different CS could have looked like, Condition Zero is worth trying. There is no real story to talk about. You simply play as different special forces units around the world and clear missions in a very Rambo-like fashion. A special mention goes to the series of challenge missions where you are given objectives for the entire game and must complete them in 5v5 matches. This mode is pure torture and slowly destroys your morale. On the highest difficulty, it feels like a direct attack on your sanity. The bots give you no time to think, no room to breathe, not even a second to react. Condition Zero can easily be nominated as one of the hardest games ever made. If you have been looking for a truly brutal challenge, this game is for you. »

« In principle, there's nothing wrong with making a single player campaign out of a multi player game. Quake 3 did it, Unreal Tournament did it, Mario Kart and racing simulators do it. The thing is, these games put significant effort into developing bots that are fun to play against, and they don't require the completion of gimmick challenges for victory (ex: "win a round in 45 seconds", "kill an enemy with your knif"). »

« Counter-Strike: Condition Zero offers an unforgettable experience with the innovations it brings to the legendary Counter-Strike series. Especially the single-player campaign mode, missions with bots, and improved artificial intelligence provide players with a different Counter-Strike experience. The classic maps and competitive gameplay in the multiplayer mode manage to satisfy the fans of the series. Condition Zero is a perfect option for those who want to experience nostalgia and those who are looking for a new Counter-Strike experience. »

« Günümüz oynamaya kalkarsanız fazla dayanamazsınız diye düşünüyorum. Eskimiş.... »

Terrlian 7/10

« Condition Zero is a good game but NPC's are definetely broken. They often stuck to the walls and they makes you to open noclip and take a look at them.Beside I loved missions but the maps are a bit complicated.Lastly, gameplay is good enough. »
