Rogue Warrior, développé par Rebellion Developments et édité par Bethesda Softworks, est sorti le 26 novembre 2009 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PC. Ce jeu de tir à la première personne au gameplay tactique, propulsé par le moteur Asura, met en scène Richard « Demo Dick » Marcinko, doublé par Mickey Rourke, dans une campagne solo où il doit saboter un programme de missiles nord-coréen avant de déjouer une conspiration au cœur de l'ex-URSS, avec un mode multijoueur en ligne proposant plusieurs façons d'éliminer les adversaires. Le titre affiche un score Metacritic de 29 et une note agrégée de 35,30, pour un prix de 4,99 euros sous DRM SecuROM. La presse a salué certains moments et mécaniques de jeu tout en jugeant l'ensemble moyen, comme l'a relevé Meristation, tandis que TeamXbox a noté un vocabulaire cru et quelques exécutions amusantes mais rapidement lassants ; de leur côté, des joueurs sur Metacritic et Steam regrettent une durée de vie très courte, des problèmes techniques et un multijoueur limité, bien que certains reconnaissent un certain intérêt malgré l'ennui ressenti.

« Wasting my time. not worth in the money. Single player are bad multiplayer only 2 games team deathmatch and deathmatch but when capture the flag and Headquarters? Bad ai bad plot and player match or ranked match multiplayer are not enough player why? There’s no one play. There’s no bots in this **** not buy this game. »
« Eu vi um tanto de gente criticando o jogo mas eu gostaria de deixar minha sincera opinião, por mais que seja um jogo enjoativo, acredito que por ser curto está okay, não acho que o jogo seja horrível, até que tem gráficos muito bons para 2009, tem bastante queda de FPS, mas mesmo assim é jogável, os inimigos são desafiadores e o nosso personagem morre bem rápido o que torna mais difícil a gameplay, uma coisa que eu adorei no jogo foram as animações de abate, tem uma grande variedade de animações e eu gostei muito, agora falando de gameplay, o jogo peça muito na sensibilidade da mira, é ultrapassada, chega a ser nível alguns jogos de PS2, uma das piores coisas do jogo todo foi a sensibilidade, a história é okay, um clichê típico de filme de ação, as trilhas sonoras são boas e casam com a play, levando em conta que é um jogo baseado em um livro, eu diria que foi uma experiência satisfatória, mas se tivesse 1 hora a mais eu não teria zerado por ser bem repetitivo. »

« Nice little shooter. The great thing about this game is that it really makes you feel like a badass. It feels like a good action movie and the one man army left to finish the mission setting is great. The addition of Mickey Rourke voicing the main character is great too and the music is good throughout the game. I don't really know what makes this game bad, like some people say. The gameplay is solid and there's nothing else to really complain about either. »

« Rogue Warrior is a disgrace to the gaming industry. The gameplay is straight up broken,with awful AI,probably the worst I've ever seen in a game,even on the hardest difficulty,the ability to use kill move animations in the middle of combat and not take damage,a broken health system and straight-up abysmal shooting mechanics. The graphics look like a PS2 launch game and are very dark making it hard to **** framerate drops consistently **** game also has a tendency to just freeze for no apparent reason and is filled with game-breaking bugs. The sound design and soundtrack are phenomenally bad. Overall,Rogue Warrior is one of the worst games I have ever played in my life.Avoid at all costs. »
