Agatha Christie : Hercule Poirot – The London Case, développé par Blazing Griffin et édité par Microids, est sorti le 29 août 2023 sur PC, PlayStation 4 et 5, Nintendo Switch ainsi que Xbox One et Series X|S. Ce jeu d'aventure et d'enquête de type point-and-click, construit sous Unity, plonge le joueur dans la jeunesse du célèbre détective à Londres, où il doit superviser le transport et la protection d'un tableau de Marie-Madeleine destiné à une exposition muséale, avant que l'œuvre ne soit dérobée lors d'un gala. Pour la première fois, Poirot fait équipe avec son acolyte Hastings pour interroger les suspects, rassembler des preuves et reconstituer la chronologie des événements à l'aide de mindmaps et d'une nouvelle ligne de temps.
La presse a salué l'atmosphère du titre, Adventure Gamers évoquant un mystère captivant porté par des graphismes réalistes et un doublage de qualité, tandis que The Games Machine a relevé une amélioration esthétique et narrative par rapport à l'épisode précédent. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont apprécié la fidélité à l'esprit d'Agatha Christie et la trame riche en rebondissements, même si un avis Steam positif a trouvé le personnage de Poirot agaçant, et qu'un retour négatif a signalé un bug bloquant au chapitre 7 empêchant la consultation d'un tableau nécessaire à la progression.

The supporting actors and the plot work, brought to life in various and detailed locations by a valuable visual and artistic presentation, net of cutscenes that are not as well cared for. Unfortunately it is precisely in the playful dimension and in the rhythm that the experience loses some points, because sometimes it dilutes the progress too much with lots of backtracking and puzzles with a not exactly intuitive solution. In any case, the title of Blazin Griffin has what it takes to make the fans of the iconic character born from the beloved mystery writer happy. »

« What a pleasure to find Hercule Poirot in a new investigative game. I loved The First Cases. It took me about ten hours to finish the story, which is very interesting. Hastings is great, as are the characters in the game, and London is very well portrayed! On the technical side, the gameplay is intuitive and much improved on First Cases. I recommend it to fans of Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie. »
