While the roster of combatants is admittedly small, this cast is arguably more vibrant and entertaining than any that Street Fighter or King of Fighters can muster, and the gloriously kinetic feel of the action makes it stand apart from other examples of the genre. Even if you're not particularly sold on one-on-one brawlers, Waku Waku 7 is well worth investigating. »

« Waku Waku 7 owes a lot to Dragon Ball -- in fact, it could easily be a decent Dragon Ball arcade fighter with a roster and stage makeover. But it's a lot of fun just the way it is, with a zany roster and some genuinely funny dialogue that accentuates the charm and personality of every fighter. It's a pity Sunsoft never saw fit to create any sequels, as there's a lot of untapped potential here. Check it out! »
