The greatest RPG ever! (that's a lie)

Welcome to Townslife! As the name suggests, you'll likely be spending a lot of time in the local town, where you have just recently settled! But that's not the only place you'll visit - be ready to wander around forests, fish in a huge lake, get to know the townsfolk and even go to the nearest mine that is known for collapsing quite often! What more could you possibly ask for?

Okay but what am I actually going to do in this game?

The game features such exhilarating activities as:

  • Cutting down trees for wood,

  • Selling wood,

  • Planting new trees for more wood,

  • Cutting down tre- wait, you want something more than a lumberjack simulator? Well that's too bad.

On a more serious note - you'll gather resources that you can sell to earn money or keep them and use in crafting! Place stuff around, customize the interior of your home, go mining in the procedurally generated mine, go fishing, plant your own crops, fight hostile creatures, find hidden treasures, interact with the locals, build a farm with various animals and crops and more! There is no set goal or ending - progress however you want, at your own pace.

How much content even is there?

Keep in mind that the game's still work in progress, and a lot of things are still missing, you can see in the DEMO, so there's not that much content currently, but I'll keep updating the game and as time goes on, there will be more and more things to craft, place, interact or maybe even fight with! The demo will keep being updated until it's time for the next step, which will likely be paid early access. Until then, have fun with what's currently in the game!

Well, it's been a couple of months due to my small hiatus, but the update's here! I got rid of some old code and optimized things to run better while managing to add some new features and tackling some of the gameplay problems I've neglected until now, so hope you enjoy it!Some highlights of this update include:Bears, leather and all the stuff that comes with itTool Belts which increase your hotbar size and are the 3rd armor type to be introduced in the game,Revamped house expansion which now includes removal of plotsMundane food system which forces you to switch up the foods you're eating to benefit from them fullyFull changelog:Added a new NPC - Bears. Bears are the first animals to spawn randomly around the world map and they’re hostile to the player. They attack similarly to Snakes, but have higher damage and a smaller activation range. They drop leather, eat out honey from tree beehives and there’s an easter egg related to them,Added Leather which can be used to craft Bear Rugs and Tool Belts and sold to the Farmer NPC for 45 coins,Added the Bear Rug,Added Tool Belts which can be equipped in their own armor slot and give you 2 additional hotbar slots,Added a Random Recipe item that unlocks a random recipe from its own pool, currently including the Tool Belt, Bear Rug and Campfire recipes. Can be obtained by fishing or dug up from a buried mark,Added an Empty Jar item that can be bought from the general merchant and is used to craft Honey Jar or Raspberry Jam Jar,Fireflies can be caught into a jar when interacting with them (whilst an Empty Jar is selected in the hotbar),House expansion price per plot now changes the bigger your house gets: first two plots - 100 coins, next 15 plots - 250, next 25 plots - 500, from that point on - 750,You can now remove plots in the house expansion mode,When buying/removing plots in the house expansion mode, you now have to double click to confirm changes to your house’s layout,You can now throw items into water. Version 0.3.19 released

Hello everyone! This update took a while due to technical issues and, well, life, but here it is! It adds minecarts, rails, a wrench item that you can adjust the rails with and more!
