The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, développé par Bethesda Game Studios et édité par Bethesda Softworks, est sorti le 10 novembre 2011 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PC. Classé dans les genres aventure et jeu de rôle, ce titre réinvente et révolutionne le monde ouvert fantastique en proposant un monde virtuel complet à explorer librement, où le joueur incarne le personnage de son choix et agit selon sa propre liberté. L'histoire situe l'Empire de Tamriel au bord du gouffre après l'assassinat du Haut Roi de Skyrim, alors que des alliances se forment et que les dragons, disparus depuis longtemps, reviennent menacer la région et l'Empire, dans l'attente de l'Enfant de Dragon prophétisé. Le jeu s'appuie sur le moteur Creation Engine et utilise la protection Steam, avec un temps de completion principal estimé à 34 heures et demie et près de 237 heures pour une partie complétiste.
La presse a salué l'expérience, Destructoid y voyant « every single reason to love a Western role-playing game » et Eurogamer soulignant le travail d'artisanat dans la musique, le récit et la conception du monde. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic jugent le titre essentiel et évoquent un sentiment de liberté, tandis que des avis positifs sur Steam le qualifient simplement de « Fun game » ou « Indémodable ». Skyrim affiche un score Metacritic de 94 et une note agrégée de 90,61, pour un prix de 14,99 euros.

La historia es buena y las misiones secundarias son excelentes en gran medida pero algunas si dejan algo que desear. El juego no esta libre de bugs pero en las diversas partidas que experimente, no tuve algún bug que fuera sumamente grosero como para bajar los puntos. Es necesario mencionar que este juego, forma parte de esa categoria de juegos que si o si tienes que jugar una vez en la vida y lo recomiendo. »

A história principal é boa, mas o verdadeiro destaque está na lore por trás do universo, na história do mundo e em tudo que aconteceu antes do seu personagem existir. Tenho que admitir que a gameplay envelheceu muito mal e é bem limitada em vários aspectos, mas da pra corrigir isso com mods. »
