Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros.

« Gigantic, monumental, colossal. Fresh and easy for newcomers, deep and challenging for seasoned players. After Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it's really hard to imagine how this series is going to improve in the next entries. »
« There are no two ways about it: this is one of the most impressive games on the Nintendo Switch, and represents some of the best value for money we’ve seen in video games in years, whether you’re into single player or multiplayer. Buy this game, you will not regret it. »
« By combining familiar gameplay with some new ideas, there's something in here for everyone. Smash Bros. is back and has never been better. »
« So how does it all stack up? Vocal concerns about past games have been actively addressed, every single fighter from the series is present (even Pichu), the customisability is overwhelmingly vast and it’s all topped off with super-solid single-player modes to boot. We’re not sure how you could make a more robust or pleasing Smash game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate truly is the ultimate instalment in the series, and it makes you wonder where Sakurai can possibly take this franchise next. »
« Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is ultimate in every sense of the word. World of Light is fantastic, Challenge Mode is satisfying and there's so much love and detail in absolutely everything in the game... Whilst having 60+ characters and 100+ stages sounds overwhelming, it's the perfect celebration of everything Nintendo and will be hard to top going forward. »
« Smash Bros. has often felt a bit like it was trying to do too much and while it has always been a fun series, the disparity between the fighting game and the party game didn't always mesh well. Ultimate is the perfect fusion of the two styles. There are countless additions to it as a fighting game to keep the competitive players happy, but the new items and features make the party game the most exciting it could be. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate feels like one of the best written love letters to gaming that there has ever been, the care and attention given to each of the games represented is incredible. This is quite simply a must-play game, one that will keep you going for hundreds of hours with its single player alone, and with multiplayer that will keep you going for thousands. »
« Every aspect of the game feels fine-tuned and thought out, and the sheer amount of changes and diversity of content is simply staggering. This is the most ambitious and all-inclusive Super Smash Bros entry, and one of the very best games Nintendo's little system has gotten yet. »
« Ultimate is one of the best and most complete fighting games ever made, and an incredible homage to video games. This is a fantastic game where every player can find their way to enjoy it. It is an absolute must-have if you own a Switch, and a reason to buy it if you don’t. »

« The game is the best smash game ever you can take like 70 characters and all the characters have 8 different skin/colors. You can play with 8 people or bot the map creator is so cool and the mii creater too. The only thing I don't like is the story mod. »

« Best selection of characters in any fighting game with a huge variety and I’m a huge persona fan so I love playing joker »
« Le smash ultime ? Vu la taille du roster, des maps, des modes, etc, c'est sûrement le cas ! Mon smash bros préféré, devant Brawl. Dommage que certains DLCs ont ruiné le balancing du jeu, en particulier Steve, mais aussi Kazuya, et Pyra/Mythra. Osef pour du casu cela dit ! »
« Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is truly the ultimate edition of Smash. There are more fighters than you could ever care to use and more stages you could ever care to fight in. As expected from Nintendo, the game is highly polished and features multiple modes of gameplay. I played the game entirely alone, offline for a more personal experience. I enjoyed playing through the Classic mode, unlocking all fighters and figuring out who would be my favorite, which ended up being Ryu. Then, I played through the Adventure mode which is a full featured 25-hour long blend of fighting and RPG-like gameplay on a world map with hundreds of battles along the way. You unlock numerous spirits who can be equipped to provide you with certain abilities and stats in addition to a skill tree for stat progression. Overall, the Adventure mode is pretty fun to play but I found it to be repetitive over time and it dragged on way too long without adding enjoyment. Some of the battles were ridiculously difficult and I could not beat them, but they aren't required. I think the Adventure mode really could have been designed in a better, different way that wasn't so repetitive, but I powered through nonetheless and was honestly glad when it was over. To succeed in this game you really need to have witty, precise reflexes with your thumb. Timing is everything. Despite there being over 70 characters to unlock, I found more success by "getting good" with one or two characters of your choice. I mostly used Mario in the Adventure mode. I haven't bothered to play the Online mode or Smash mode since they are multiplayer oriented, as I was playing single player offline, so I cannot speak for those modes. This is a good game, but I ultimately found the fighting to be repetitive over time. »
« Sunk hours into this game with friends and the story mode. Its roster is massive with tons of diffrent fun movesets. This was my reintroduction into the smash series since 64, and this game made me go back and play the older titles. It is a quintessential Nintendo switch game, and even if you're not a Nintendo fan, this game is still a masterpiece. »
« a platform fighter that combines so many popular and beloved franchises into a game that fans of any series can come to and have fun playing »
