COGconnected 95/100

« If you are a Street Fighter fan, and are looking forward to seriously competing in this console generation’s great fighting game franchise, then your time has arrived. »

TheSixthAxis 90/100

« Even as a person whose grasp of fighting games is nowhere near top-tier standard, Street Fighter V is the most fun I’ve had in a fighting game in years. »

Push Square 90/100

« Street Fighter V's gameplay sits with the best that gaming has to offer. The characters are truly distinct, the presentation first rate, and the netcode is utterly sublime. A lack of single player modes at launch dulls the sheen somewhat, and is the only element preventing the title from achieving true greatness. However, with the engrossing Capcom Fighters Network, the game's set up as a fantastic online playground in which to research techniques, stalk idols, view friends' failures, or simply sit back and watch – all the while waiting for your next challenger in this deep, enthralling fighter. »

God is a Geek 90/100

« It’s hard to find fault with the bigger picture Capcom has in mind here and, assuming the online issues are dealt with quickly at launch and the rest of the game modes arrive as promised, this is looking like a perfect round. »

GamesBeat 90/100

« People who got into the fighting game community with Street Fighter IV may not want to hear this, but from a base design, Street Fighter V is by far the superior game. Capcom has paved over and smoothed out a lot of the things I didn’t like about Street Fighter IV’s design. A lot of those issues created poor play habits, which makes it feels like Capcom is making small steps to mature the game, and in turn is trying to mature how the player base plays fighting games. »

GamesRadar+ 90/100

« Street Fighter 5 is deep, endlessly fun, and immensely inviting, but local competitive play is currently the primary way to enjoy it. »

The Games Machine 90/100

« The new Street Fighter is an excellent fighting game, beautiful to watch and play, with an incredibly deep gameplay and plenty of new moves to learn and master. The lack of a real single player experience may be a problem for someone, but the game is bound to expand in the next few months. For now, it's simply the best multiplayer fighting game around. »

LaPS4 90/100

« Street Fighter V is ambitious. Capcom expects it to last a whole generation and that's why they bet for new content that will be rolling for the next few years. Its gameplay mechanics are impeccable and the visuals are just stunning, although it lacks some game modes, which together with a small roster and the not-so-good story mode burden the experience a little bit. Obviously aiming for online play, Street Fighter V is a game which will get really popular, and that should be checked out once in a while in order to uncover its true potential. »

« this game had some brilliant campaign story and also it's characters models are brilliant as well »

infjaxcritic 3/10

« This would be a good game, but the server problems are inexcusable. Congratulations, Capcom. This is one of your biggest failures. »

Agent008 8/10

« After the free Arcade Edition update, "Street Fighter V" finally delivered. But it's still one of the weakest entries in the series. Unfortunately, it takes massive amounts of Fight Points to unlock content. You might as well buy the "Championship Edition" if you want every piece of released content. Overall, this is a good game, but SF 6 was a major improvement. I would rate this with an 8 out of 10. »

« Street Fighter V didn't exactly wow the casual crowd like Street Fighter IV did, and while I understand that V had a lot of things going for it on the technical side, single player content was not something they did well during launch. Looking at the game now, you can still see the problems from launch day as the cracks kinda just spread. From a lackluster built in story mode that only features a few barebones fights and a few cutscenes of each character, to Arcade mode being locked to this really weird format of using previous street fighter arcades as a mode, to even the way the trials were structured. Hell, the fact that so few people know that there is a 11 GB patch for the real story mode in Street Fighter V, and has yet to explore any aspects of world fighting in favor of the much more dull Shadaloo plot just speaks numbers at the misstep capcom made with this game.Capcom just keeps making these promises to make Street Fighter's story better or to use tutorials to appeal to the casual audience, or even have better netcoding, and Street Fighter V has just been struggle after struggle of not delivering what people wanted.Tutorials and trials are still very much the same, and don't teach fundamentals of fighting games the way the likes of Guilty Gear or Skullgirls teaches people. The story, while a bit neat that it's like 3-5 hour venture, doesn't really appeal to anyone nor are we really given a reason to replay the story to began with. And like all this single player content just isn't good enough to satisfy the casual audience, and then you add all the troubles for online that Street Fighter V had, and it kinda just bleeds this game down in terms of who can like ****'t get me wrong here, I don't think Street Fighter V is a bad game the same way most people do. I have come to like the game, and the fact that we got a lot of cool, cute, and even sexy costumes. But whenever I dive into this games menu I'm kinda just reminded that Capcom did a crap job trying to get more of the gaming audience, and when that happens, only the die hard fans stick to it because they have a newer game to play that's like the fundamental game they played way back then. Street Fighter as a franchise needs to be far more newbie friendly for it to thrive like it should, and be at the forefront of anything that makes fighting games better, but you just don't see it. »

« This game is the worst of the franchise! Ugly combos, ridiculus story mode, worst platinum. This game is for pro players, so if you're a casual player, don't play this game! »

yangfanhong 7/10

« The game is basically fun. And there is a general story mode. And you can skip some battle that you find too challenging. »

Sifu34 0/10

« Demo version of the game for full price! Very greedy company. And where are my previous reviews of this game? This is a question for the site owners. »

DandyCrow 0/10

« Censoring Cammy's entrance, R. Mika self-butt slap and the jiggle physics certainly was not a good idea! I didn't know there were puritans even at Capcom! »
