For Honor

« An excellent hybrid between a tactical fencing action and a fighting game, which wins thanks to a complex fighting system and balanced characters. [Issue#272] »
« For Honor is one of the best multiplayer experiences in recent years, offering a well-balanced combat system and stunning graphics that reflect the potential of the current generation. »
« For Honor is a great example that Western developers can make some great innovative twists on a primarily Japanese-built genre. It’s so safe for AAA titles to resort to going action, open-world, or FPS, but this is a real risk that Ubisoft is taking on a brand new IP and I hope it pays off for them. This is the best combat system I’ve had the pleasure to experience since the death of character action games. I hope to see you on the battlefield, even if you fight for Valhalla or the Emperor. »
« A medieval fighting game that is intense, smart, rewarding, and demands something of its player. It asks for your patience, yet the glory you’ll receive in return is well worth the trade. »
« A small handful of flaws aren’t quite enough to dull the appeal of For Honor’s peerless combat and deceptive depth. For Honor looks like it’ll be my go-to multiplayer game for quite some time and if you give it a go, chances are it’ll be yours, too. For anyone with even the slightest love of melee combat, For Honor is a must-have. »
« For Honor takes a somewhat ridiculous concept, lays down a pretty great fighting foundation on top of it and loads it with plenty of reasons to keep playing. This past year, Ubisoft has shown a penchant for developing exciting multiplayer experiences. For Honor might frustrate in a few areas, but for every one thing it does wrong, it does a dozen other things right. For Honor sets a strong pace for Ubisoft, and it looks like the developer on course for another great year of multiplayer action. »
« Ultimately, the real question of For Honor is if it will maintain a good community. The skill at the combat isn’t twitch based, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy and I could see people start to get scared away as the player base becomes more experienced and hardcore. »
« For Honor is an action game that is full of good intentions and that shines in its multiplayer mode: absorbing and well raised. It emphasizes its system of combat in which it is necessary to study to the rival. A joy for all who enjoy a touch of strategy among so much action. »

« Love For Honor, been playing since day one. Almost have 700 reputation total lol at 681 reps currently. Love the unique fighting mechanics, there's nothing like it. Can't wait for the new samurai female hero, and the last knight hero as well. Loyal Knight faction warrior as well. »
« If you have honor, play this game dude. I gave 8,7 to this game................ »
« Unbalanced, strange, absurd(?) Characters that can teleport, attacks too quick even for Leclerc to react and this game wants you to play WITHOUT honor People that gangs up on you, without leaving you ANY chance to react What about the rest? Characters are unbalanced, few are much much stronger than the others What about the three main categories? Don’t even look at it The slowest character could easily run quicker than an assassin and attack without problems So at least the damage should be balanced…right? Not at all….some characters can literally one shot you, the others…well…they will take at least 5 working days to damage you a little Parry and dodges? No sense at all Some attacks are not possible to dodge, they will literally teleport to hit, the guard is too slow, against 2 or 3 enemies you can’t switch guard and can only be a punching bag to quicker characters I’m sorry, this game is fun, but no way it’s playable more than a few hours, can’t be competitive and requires no skill, just luck about having the character that has the godmode for the season Matchmaking? Nonexistent You will face the god of for honor at your first match, or your squad will have 2 to 3 bots, leaving you alone against 4 guys, the funniest part? YOU CAN’T EVEN QUIT So if you’re against Jesus himself it’s better to be afk, wasting time, than quitting and trying to have fun with another match No, developers thought you should remain in the worst lobby ever, finishing matches that you cannot win or even play at all, like it’s so important They should focus on the gameplay, giving players a reason to stay, I’ve encountered ONLY reasons to uninstall and forget about one of the worst multiplayer games that I’ve played »
« ubisoft bad for honor bad this game **** don’t waste money on a bad game like this it **** »
« For Honor is a pretty unique game, but man... it’s rough if you’re just starting out. There’s basically no proper matchmaking, so you’ll get thrown into games against people who’ve been playing for 9 years straight. It honestly feels like you’re just there to get clapped for their entertainment. The only real fun you’ll have as a new player is in custom matches with friends. But of course, in true Ubisoft fashion, custom games give you no XP and no in-game currency. So if you only play with friends to avoid the sweaty lobbies, you can’t unlock new heroes or progress at all. It’s a shame, because the game can be fun but unless you’re down to get stomped for a while or only play casually with friends, it’s kinda hard to recommend. »
