Gamereactor UK 100/100

« I could go on and on praising Split Fiction and pulling out unique moments that will undoubtedly become fond gaming memories in the future, but I don't want to take the joy of discovery away from you readers. Because there really is a lot to discover and fall in love with along the way. We should all be happy that Hazelight exists and thrives in the gaming industry, and I'm crossing my fingers that Split Fiction will be a gigantic success so we can enjoy more great experiences from one of today's most exciting developers. Split Fiction is a co-op masterpiece. It's as simple as that. »

Hey Poor Player 100/100

« Split Fiction is one of the most audacious games I’ve ever played, constantly reinventing itself in ways that somehow work when they simply shouldn’t. There were numerous moments that stunned me into wondering how this game just kept getting away with design decisions that seemed like a disaster waiting to happen but instead led to some of the most memorable stages I’ve ever played. Finding someone to play with may be a challenge for some, but if you can remotely do so, you won’t regret it. »

Inverse 100/100

« Split Fiction is a generational work. It’s brimming with creativity, tells a resonant story that reflects the current state of the world, and is a sincere love letter to genre fiction that has inspired so many of us. »

PC Games 100/100

« Split Fiction is a declaration of love to the world of video games and I am happy to play it together with my friends. It will be a big contender for Game of the Year. »

PSX Brasil 100/100

« Split Fiction cements Hazelight as one of the best studios today and proves that creative freedom and fun are still essential concepts for the gaming industry. With unique gameplay that never stops introducing new ideas, an engaging narrative and exemplary technical execution, Split Fiction is not only the pinnacle of cooperative games, but also an unforgettable experience. »

Push Square 100/100

« Split Fiction is Hazelight Studios' best game yet, and stands out as one of the most accomplished and fun co-op titles on PS5 to date. Its peerless variety means there's never a dull moment, and all of its different mechanics are consistently well-executed. There are one or two minor complaints you can throw at this, but they all fade into the background when the game is constantly showing you new ideas and almost never pausing for breath. This is proof, if more was needed, that Josef Fares and his team has found a really special formula, one that allows them to explore an incredible range of gameplay that's only enhanced by its singular co-op vision. »

TechRadar Gaming 100/100

« Split Fiction is the third co-op game from Hazelight Studios and arguably its largest and most imaginative to date. It packs an array of captivating mini-games into a linear, yet highly rewarding platformer, laced with Hazelight’s trademark storytelling to keep you on your moral toes. Players will have fun recognizing the vast pop culture references that have been peppered throughout Split Fiction, which deliver a unique twist whilst nostalgically returning us to the early days of gaming. »

Variety 100/100

« Split Fiction is Hazelight Studios at its best, pushing the limits of genre and co-op gameplay in an imaginative adventure through two wildly different worlds. »

J_Hannz 7/10

« It was fun but it's WAYYYY more woke, DEI, and full of activism than it takes two which killed the game overall for me. »

In_The_Dark 8/10

« A masterpiece in level design and creativity that never feels repetitive. You explore diverse areas, each with its own unique design, where you encounter interesting challenges that require both players to think creatively in order to solve problems and progress. Sadly, the story, characters, and dialogue are abysmal »

Moises3301042 1/10

« Truly like a 2 /10 since gameplay is enjoyable. But the story line and characters are the most unlikable creatures I've ever seen. Dialogue feels ai generated to copy marvel humor and the story is really weak. It takes two was way better »

mefisto_777 9/10

« If you've played It Takes Two, you already know exactly what to expect from Hazelight Studios. Split Fiction feels like a much more polished and refined version of the studio's formula. Considering they're still a relatively small team, the scale, hypnotic color, and grandeur of this project are a breath of fresh air for the ****'s a fantastic game to enjoy with your best friend; an incredibly fun cooperative experience with a fair level of difficulty that guarantees you'll never get bored. The gameplay is constantly changing, offering novel mechanics that never cease to surprise you and, at the same time, are extremely intuitive and clear. Furthermore, the game is full of references, nods, and subplots that pay homage to other video games. It's a delight for anyone who truly understands the industry. However, its enormous ambition also works against it somewhat when compared directly to the masterpiece that was It Takes Two.Firstly, Split Fiction feels too frenetic. It moves so fast that it barely gives you room to breathe or to stop and appreciate the meticulous design of its impressive environments. Also, in some sections (especially in the science fiction universe), I was left wanting more variety, as the reuse of certain concepts and visual elements is noticeable. Furthermore, it's not a game to finish in one or two sittings. It's a very long journey, and I feel it drags on too long in its final part. The story remains stagnant for a good stretch without progressing, which can become overwhelming. It would have greatly benefited from being a couple of hours **** terms of the script, I personally preferred the plot of It Takes Two because of the way it integrated relationship stereotypes into the gameplay. Here, much of the story feels like the fevered dream of an obsessive; But the way they tie absolutely everything together in the denouement is **** game's ending is truly perfect, flawlessly connecting all the pieces to deliver a powerful message and a great life lesson. Thanks to Josef Fares's unmistakable style, the work culminates with a golden touch that makes it an essential experience for any gamer's collection. An easy, enthusiastic, and mandatory **** conclusion, Split Fiction demonstrates that the true value of a cooperative game lies not in the perfection of its script or the fluidity of its pacing, but in its ability to create shared memories. Despite its excesses and a final stretch that demands more patience than expected, Josef Fares's genius once again reigns supreme in his ability to transform the controls into a bridge between two people. It's a reminder that, in an industry saturated with solitary experiences, sharing the journey with someone special remains the purest form of play. An ambitious work that, despite its stumbles, rightfully earns a place of honor on the shelf. RATING 9/10 »

« Одна из лучших совместных игр для прохождения с женой или девушкой, Юсуф Фарес каждый раз фактически придумывает несколько игр в одной, благодаря чему ты никогда не начинаешь скучать или уставать, браво! »

GravelCipher91 6/10

« I was disappointed. The concept is great.gameplay and graphics are solid, but I was hoping for so much more from the story and the voice acting annoyed me. All said, it was fun and definitely worth playing. »

« This should be a game design class. Incredible game and an incredible director. Hazelight is one of my favorite studios. Everyone has to experience this. »

Itsmilenajo 10/10

« This game is a masterpiece! I played it with my boyfriend (I'm not a gamer) and I fall in love with art, story, creativity! But small details, come on! Few of them really blew our minds! I've got goosebumps 10 times at least and sounds/music did that - in combo with visuals! Thank you to all the people who created this fun, emotional, extremely creative game, I love you all ️ »
