Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power
Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power

« Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is a worthy successor to the first two games in the series. The addition of 3D environments, while a bit tricky at first, ends up enhancing the experience. There are still a few quirks, such as camera angles or some complex platforming sequences, but overall it's still a blast to play through the new title, both for veterans as well as newcomers. »
« It may not be quite as good as the previous titles and some gameplay problems exist, but it draws us back in repeatedly - even to replay earlier levels for the pure enjoyment of them. »
« The third dimension did really good for Trine, refreshing a gameplay that was starting to miss something new. »
« Trine 3 is a great game although it has some minor problems and a cliffhanger ending. The fans of the series cannot go wrong with it... the magic is still there. »
« Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power makes a good long story short. It even ends to a cliff-hanger which isn’t nice. [Sept 2015] »
« Trine 3 is an absolutely charming and wonderful game. If you have two other friends and want to play this together, it’s absolutely a must. »
« In spite of a short lifespan and a not so great ending, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power is still a game to own thanks to its amazing gameplay and its sublime artistic touch. »
« Most if its initial problems of technical nature are now addressed and Trine 3 truly shines. It may be the shortest Trine to date, but its probably the most beautiful one. »
« Trine 3 took a wild turn, going full 3D, stripping down character progression, and somehow making co-op a mess. The visuals and music are stunning. The gameplay is fun, but frustrating at times. The story feels like ****. If you're here for co-op, prepare for disappointment, but as a short single-player adventure, it's still enjoyable, just not what fans expected. »
« Building on the series' consistent high standards in art, controls, and level design, the introduction of 2.5D/ pseudo-3D elements has its pros and cons. On one hand, the expanded range of movement does enhance the gameplay, especially noticeable in multiplayer mode. On the other hand, the tracking camera often loses focus, causing some characters to get stuck off-screen—a problem that was later addressed in Nine Parchments. The game’s emphasis on collectibles and the addition of secondary maps were well-received, but the removal of the skill/experience system made the overall gameplay feel somewhat monotonous. Overall, while the third installment introduced many changes, not all of them were positive. »
« Another great entry into the Trine series. They all kind of blend together at this point, but they are all fantastic puzzle games with breathtaking visuals. »
« The game had potential... it's a direct sequel to the story in Trine 2 with a 3D format instead of 2.5D. It has a cool plot, good graphics, dubbing and soundtrack, some frustrations with the "physics" just like the previous ones, national dubbing, but... it's an incomplete game. In addition to lacking some mechanics from the previous ones (such as character evolution), the plot is not completed. There is a "last boss" that concludes the first story arc, but the game ends after defeating ****'s a shame... as much as I had fun with what was possible to play, I can't recommend Trine 3 »
