Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« It has points where you must grind for levels much like an RPG. It’s also not for people with short attention spans, and its difficulty at times (just a touch below Sonic Riders’s learning curve—you’ll have to practice stages over and over to get them right) makes it not for people who give up at challenging games easily (poor folks). Still, none of these points makes this entry any less valid. »
« After several attempts to modernize Sonic for the 3-D gaming landscape, Sega has taken a big step back in their approach, and that's a good thing. [Apr 2007, p.84] »
« The classic sensation of speed, coupled with some of the best locations, makes this Sonic game one of the best additions to the series in a long time. »
« An encouraging sign that good Sonic games can still be made. I had a tremendous time exploring the different stages and the skill points add a bit of depth to an otherwise straightforward game. »
« Polished and entertaining, but not without moments that make you scream and curse your slumsy playing. This is a great Wii start for a franchise we'd given up on years ago. [Apr 2007, p.42] »
« By no means perfect, but it's still a fantastic game that finally gives the blue blazer the sort of fast-paced, slick action he deserves. It's tricky to master but once you do it really shines. [Mar 2007, p.62] »
« Sonic Team has taken Sonic, put him on rails, added a ton of variety, and made something that is definitely worth a rental. Some might find it too short to be a purchase, while others may just enjoy playing the levels over and over again with different setups in order to unlock the many goals available. »
« This is a game about Going Fast and Jumping, and, at last, its designers have realised that that's exactly what we want to do with Sonic. The Going Fast is brilliant, the Jumping is fantastic, and we have big smiles on our faces. Sonic is back. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« The controls alone make this game an unplayable mess, it is not fun in the slightest and not worth a second of your time. »
« THE ONLY REASON THE WII WAS INVENTED (SORRY NOT SORRY, MARIO) Listen, if you haven’t experienced the raw, unbridled adrenaline of holding a Wii Remote sideways like a sacred relic while Sonic screams through the desert at Mach 5, have you even lived? Sonic and the Secret Rings is a masterpiece of kinetic chaos that makes every other platformer look like a slow-motion walk through a retirement home. It’s not just a game; it’s a high-speed cardio workout for your thumbs and a sensory assault of pure, 2007-flavored **** "on-rails" mechanic is a stroke of absolute genius. Why waste time moving in three dimensions like a confused turtle when you can just embrace the destiny of a heat-seeking missile? This game understands that Sonic’s only natural state is "forward, but faster," and it delivers that with the subtle grace of a freight train hitting a nitrous boost. The tilt controls are the ultimate test of a true gamer’s soul—if you can’t steer a blue hedgehog through a dinosaur jungle by waving a plastic stick, that’s a skill issue, not a game **** let’s talk about the soundtrack. "Seven Rings in Hand" isn’t just a theme song; it’s a lifestyle. It’s the sonic equivalent of drinking five energy drinks and then sprinting through a library. While some "Italian plumbers" are content with the same three "boop-beep" circus tunes they’ve been using since the Reagan administration, Sonic is out here giving us industrial-strength Arabian rock that makes you want to suplex a genie.Comparing this to something like Mario Kart is honestly insulting to the concept of speed. Mario Kart is a game for people who think a spicy chicken nugget is "too intense" and need three lakitus and a blue shell just to feel a crumb of excitement. Secret Rings doesn’t give you handouts; it gives you a Skill Ring and tells you to get good or get left in the sand. It’s a stylish, neon-soaked fever dream that proves Sonic doesn’t need a map—he just needs a direction and a complete disregard for the laws of physics. »
« I did not hate this as much as other people, probably because I played it as a kid. The party mode is also surprisingly fun. »
« Controls are clunky, autorun is ass, yeah idk what else to say writing is based and so is music (MAKE BELIEVES REBORN) otherwise, dont waste your time on this one »
« Sonic and the Secret Rings is an emotional banger of a videogame. The game may have mixed controls but I kind of like them because of how they feel for the Wii as the Wii went for motion controls. The game has master crafted level design banger OST great character development and has a very well written story I really liked how Shahra and Sonic made a special friendship together by getting through the hardships they both have in which Sonic must defeat Erazor Djinn in time as he is a genie who sets a time limit to Sonic and if that limit runs out Sonic will die. This game brings such emotional moments with perfect timing and how they planned it out so well for this game. Anyway, this is my full review of Sonic and the Secret Rings and if you read this review thank you »
« Not really a good game. Super forgettable. Not fun. Sonic has never really done a good job with 3d games and should stick to 2d games though. »
« It doesn't get any better than this and if you think otherwise you're coping. »
« Motion controls. Everything else is this game is good, but this really, REALLY ruins the game »
