Slashy Souls, publié le 28 février 2016, est un jeu mobile de type « casual » inspiré par Dark Souls 3 et agissant comme un outil de promotion pour la sortie de ce dernier. Développé et édité par Bandai Namco Holdings, avec GameStop parmi les éditeurs, il est disponible sur les plateformes Android et iOS et se rattache aux genres arcade et plateforme. Le titre affiche un score agrégé de 10,00.
L'accueil critique et des joueurs s'est exprimé à travers plusieurs avis sévères. Gamezebo a estimé que « Slashy Souls would be a fun game if it weren’t riddled with so many (honestly amateurish) bugs and design flaws. » Destructoid a de son côté précisé dans ses propos : « Don't blame From Software for this -- the studio didn't even make it. And even if the developer gave the project its blessing, there's no way it could have pos… ». Pour sa part, un joueur sur Metacritic a qualifié le jeu en écrivant : « This game is a joke. It's a simple cash-in game with no love or effort put into it. The animations are dreadful, the graphics are sub par if worse, the control… ».
