Remothered: Tormented Fathers, développé par Stormind Games et édité par Darril Arts, est sorti le 30 janvier 2018 sur PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch et Xbox One. Ce titre de genre aventure et indépendant, construit avec l'Unreal Engine 4, constitue le premier chapitre d'une trilogie de survival horror en troisième personne au ton cinématographique. Le joueur incarne Rosemary Reed, une femme de 35 ans qui se rend chez le notaire retraité Dr. Felton, atteint d'une maladie mystérieuse et accueilli par l'infirmière Gloria, avant que la révélation de ses intentions ne plonge la scène dans l'horreur. Les investigations de Rosemary la mènent à soupçonner un massacre derrière la disparition de Celeste, la fille du notaire, dont le secret d'identité et un culte fanatique de religieuses de clôture en rouge semblent connus d'Arianna et du père. Le jeu propose un volet psychologique marqué, l'absence d'armes à feu au profit d'objets communs, l'absence de barre de vie, des indices audio en 3D, des énigmes réalistes et des cut-scenes dirigées par Chris Darril, avec une bande-son signée Nobuko Toda et Luca Balboni. Sa durée est estimée à six heures pour l'histoire principale et sept heures en complétionniste, pour un prix de 19,99 euros. La presse a salué l'expérience, Multiplayer.it y voyant « le Clock Tower dont les fans ont besoin » et IGN Italia évoquant « une merveilleuse expérience d'horreur en solo », tandis que certains joueurs sur Steam apprécient un genre de survie horrifique singulier rappelant Alien Isolation, même si un avis de joueur sur Metacritic témoigne d'un désintérêt pour l'histoire et le gameplay. Le titre affiche un score Metacritic de 77, un score OpenCritic de 70 et une note agrégée de 74,86.
