NHL 2K8
Sorti le 10 septembre 2007, NHL 2K8 est un jeu vidéo de sport développé par Visual Concepts et Kush Games et édité par 2K Sports sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PlayStation 2. Le titre met en vedette le centre des Senators d'Ottawa Jason Spezza sur sa jaquette et retrouve Bob Cole et Harry Neale aux commentaires, déjà présents sur NHL 2K6 et NHL 2K7. Parmi les nouveautés de cette édition figurent un nouveau système d'engagements, le système ProStick utilisant le stick droit pour feinter ou gérer le palet, les Superstar Combo moves reproduisant des gestes de joueurs de la LNH, ainsi qu'un système de gardien remanié graphiquement et dans ses déplacements. NHL 2K8 a par ailleurs introduit les nouveaux maillots Reebok Edge via un code disponible sur le site de 2K Sports. La presse finlandaise Pelit a salué ce qu'elle qualifie de jeu de hockey le plus réaliste sur et en dehors de la glace, tout en regrettant des commandes complexes peu adaptées aux débutants, tandis qu'IGN a relevé des animations fluides et des options en ligne complètes, et qu'un joueur sur Metacritic a exprimé son plaisir de jeu sur PS2 comme sur 360. L'ensemble du titre recueille une note moyenne agrégée de 66,53.

« Even on PS2 this game is fun and amazing. 360 just enhances the experience. Bravo well done by 2k sports. I've Played 2k8 for countless hours and have logged in more than 700 games to date. I am ahead of the current NHL schedule. Thought about getting NHL 2k10 for 360. Second thought just buy 2k8 that is awesome. 2013 and this game still rocks. Can't wait to play online. »
