NBA 2K7
NBA 2K7, développé par Visual Concepts et publié par 2K Sports ainsi que Take-Two Interactive, est un jeu de simulation sportive sorti le 26 septembre 2006 sur PlayStation 3 et Xbox 360. Huitième opus de la franchise NBA 2K et successeur de NBA 2K6, il met en vedette Shaquille O'Neal en couverture et précède NBA 2K8. Le titre cherche à simuler l'expérience de la NBA avec un réalisme maximal, proposant des matchs avec les équipes réelles, la personnalisation du gameplay et des joueurs, ainsi qu'un mode de direction d'équipe en tant que manager général. Il intègre commentaires, animations de foule et shows de mi-temps, et son gameplay comme son esthétique ont été améliorés avant sa sortie.
À sa sortie, NBA 2K7 a reçu un accueil positif, la presse saluant notamment sa présentation avec des visuels qualifiés de « gorgeous » ou « spectacular », ainsi que la progression de son gameplay et la richesse de son contenu, tout en relevant quelques critiques sur les modèles et animations des joueurs. Operation Sports a ainsi déclaré qu'il s'agissait du meilleur jeu de basket jamais joué et de la plus grande progression en un an dans une série, tandis que Gaming Age a relevé la présence de nombreux modes de jeu et qu'un joueur sur Metacritic l'a jugé le jeu de basket le plus solide et réaliste du marché. L'ensemble affiche une note moyenne agrégée de 74,35.
