Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, développé par CyberConnect2 et édité par Bandai Namco Entertainment, est sorti le 4 février 2016 sur PC, PlayStation 4 et Xbox One. Ce jeu d'aventure et de combat couvre les arcs finaux de l'histoire de Naruto et constitue le dernier volet de la série, proposant pour la première fois une adaptation exploitant la puissance graphique des consoles de nouvelle génération. La durée de la trame principale est estimée à neuf heures, tandis qu'un parcours complet peut atteindre trente-neuf heures.
La presse a salué l'évolution de la franchise, IGN Spain évoquant une « parfaite évolution » avec un large roster et un mode histoire excellent, et Gaming Age jugeant le titre recommandé aussi bien pour les vétérans que pour les nouveaux joueurs. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic expriment des avis partagés, regrettant parfois l'ennui ressenti ou soulignant que le jeu génère des opinions divisées, tandis que des avis positifs sur Steam apprécient les combinaisons secrètes liées aux personnages et la nette différence graphique. Le jeu, disponible avec un DRM Steam au prix de 14,99 euros, affiche une note agrégée de 76,32.

A jogabilidade é um dos grandes destaques, atingindo um nível de refinamento que representa um dos pontos mais fortes da experiência. A narrativa, por sua vez, segue uma base já conhecida, adaptando eventos que foram apresentados anteriormente no anime, o que pode ser positivo para fãs, mas menos impactante para quem já conhece a história. Um diferencial interessante é a presença de dublagem em português do Brasil, algo que não está disponível no material original, agregando valor à experiência para o público local. Pessoalmente, não considero a melhor trama da franquia, principalmente por preferências em relação à obra original. Ainda assim, é um jogo que possui méritos claros e merece reconhecimento dentro do seu contexto. »

« This is a really good game that I have very few complaints about. I have played the other Ninja Storm games before, and I believe this one has the best story mode out of all the games, and obviously, the most characters, and is overall very fun to play even now. My few complaints are that the adventure mode is very limited in terms of what you can do in each area, and that if you go online, the leaderboard is just a list of people with maxBPp and could easily be fixed by resetting the leaderboard every couple of months to a year or so. »

« Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - 80/100 Определённо лучшая часть. Нет обязательной беготни, которая меня очень раздражала во всех предыдущих частях. То, что и хотел: кат-сцены и файтинг - ничего лишнего. Но для тех, кому это всё же нравилось, есть полноценный отдельный режим с кучей беготни и миссий. Боёвка ещё стала приятнее, появилось больше фишек. Экшоновые сцены были и в 3-й части хороши, но тут они стали ещё круче. В плане сюжета, конечно, есть проблемы: разработчики пытались уместить то, что выходило в аниме несколько лет, в довольно небольшой сюжет игры, из-за этого не добавили немало важных и хороших моментов, но то, что всё-таки добавили, реально почти так же эпично и душевно, как в самом аниме. Выбил платину. »
