Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, développé par CyberConnect2 et édité par Bandai Namco Entertainment, est sorti le 5 mars 2013 sur PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 et PC (Microsoft Windows). Ce jeu de combat propose plus de quatre-vingts personnages jouables, des modes en ligne avancés et des mécaniques de combat améliorées. La version Full Burst, entièrement remasterisée en HD, intègre notamment un nouveau chapitre où Sasuke et Itachi affrontent Kabuto, ainsi que de nouvelles missions et costumes. La quatrième grande guerre des ninjas s'y déroule avec des combats contre des boss imposants comme les démons à queues. Le jeu affiche un score Metacritic de 80 et une note agrégée de 77,97. La presse a salué sa richesse et sa réalisation, PlayStation Universe recommandant le titre aux amateurs de combat pour la profondeur de son système, tandis que Gameblog.fr y voit une véritable réussite pour les fans de la série. Certains joueurs sur Steam expriment leur enthousiasme en qualifiant le jeu de meilleur opus Naruto jamais réalisé.

« Great game, gameplay is fast and fun and the story is told in a similar manner to the series, which any fan will appreciate. I like the QTE in the boss battles, it makes them even more epic and the soundtrack and graphics are pretty cool. Just thought the last third of the game loses a little bit its step, seems to be more rushed. Overall, I think a solid 9 is a deserving rating. »
« This game is a really awesome Naruto Game and one of the best on Playstation 3. The Animations are great, The graphics also. But there are some Problems with the game. In the anime, the jutsu's had a lot of "Color" in them, and for the Dev's to do that, they had to use many Effects. And because of the amount of Effects and particles the game lags. It's the same thing like in Junmpforce. But it doesn't always lag. But against the War Boss battle against the Gedo Statue the game lags constantly, there was no perfect 30 Frames but the Ps3 Hardware has some limits. The online is sadly dead. I could only play once online. So the game is a Solid 8. »
