« Game is awesome! A unique turn based random encounter battle. Instead passive the battle demands you to keep active on the battle. A bit trucky with its upgrade but overall such satisfying, fun, humoric journey. »
« I never played RPGs all that much. That was until I played Earthbound, but I’m not here to discuss Earthbound. I am here to discuss Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. This is honestly one of the most goofy and hilarious RPGs I’ve ever played. Going from Earthbound to this was a very unexpected turn. This RPG isn’t trying to have a serious plot. It’s just the typical Mario game plot. Help the princess by rescuing her or rescuing something she owns. You can very much tell the writers were having fun with this one. This game kept me hooked onto my GBA (yes, I used real hardware) for HOURS. I couldn’t put it down. I would recommend this game for someone who ether really loves RPGs or someone who has never played an RPG. Wonderfully crafted experience. 9/10 »

« Ein cooles Mario & Luigi, es hat nen lustigen Humor, die Welten sind nice gestaltet und die Kämpfe machen Spaß. Aus heutiger Sicht finde ich es etwas veraltet, da das Kampfsystem noch sehr Standard ist, im Vergleich zu den anderen Teilen hat und auch von der Story her finde ich die anderen Teile besser. Außerdem bevorzuge ich das 3DS Remake, wegen der besseren Grafik, angenehmeren Kampfsystem und dem gut überarbeiteten Soundtrack. »

« Truly a masterpiece, this game exceeded my already pretty high expectations for it. The story and gameplay is best going in blind, which is hard to do nowadays because the game is decades old, but the story is great. Nothing amazing, but it’s funny, energetic, and full of more twists than a 5 metre strand of liquorice. This game has aged perfectly. The soundtrack, visuals, and gameplay are stellar, especially for Gameboy Advance. Final boss is a **** to fight, and there are some low points, but the quirkiness and great gameplay make this one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played »
