Description (IGDB)

Ascend humanity’s last remaining shelter, a great tower-city. The tower is torn by violence, poverty and chaos. Conquer your enemies, discover the secrets of the superstructure and your own origin and obtain the power to challenge The Keymaster.

Histoire (IGDB)

Enter an intense cyberpunk world and experience fierce, dynamic combat! Conquer your enemies in the physical world and in cyberspace. Hunt for answers in humanity’s last remaining shelter. Ascend humanity’s last remaining shelter, a great tower-city. The tower is torn by violence, poverty, and chaos. Conquer your enemies, discover the secrets of the superstructure and your own origin and obtain the power to challenge The Keymaster. The game takes place in the future, after a global cataclysm where the remains of humanity live in a tower built by The Architect, who died mysteriously years ago. Everyone knows the truth, no one says it aloud. The world ruled by The Keymaster is harsh. A person’s worth depends on the category of implants they have, defining their whole lives. The implants—given to them in childhood—determine which social group a person belongs to. If you weren’t lucky enough to get a good life, there is nothing you can do. It's no surprise that a rebellion starts. You are a cyber-warrior, the only one capable of fighting both in the physical world and in cyberspace. Lost and hunted, thrown into the middle of the conflict, you must use this bond with technology to ascend the tower. As you climb higher, secrets are revealed. The clock starts ticking on a race to uncover the mystery behind the structure that houses humanity’s last hope. Solve the riddle or be killed—there is no other option.

Ghostrunner 2, one of the few games I've scored 9/10, is currently free

Night City is one of the greatest virtual worlds ever created. It perfectly encapsulates the juxtaposition of advanced, world-changing technology and sheer, unadulterated poverty. Our neon-tinted cyberpunk dreams often forget about the grit and grime that keeps these neo-dystopian metropolises going: for the rich to stay rich, the poor have to stay poor. But Cyberpunk 2077 is just one evolution of an age-old concept: One More Level's Ghostrunner 2 is another. Trading out open-world exploration for fast-paced, high-octane hacking and slashing while maintaining that sense of seediness, it's an absolute must-play if you liked CD Projekt Red's troubled masterpiece - and it's free right now. Valor Mortis will see Ghostrunner's creators give Napoleonic era Europe the soulslike treatment in 2026

Valor Mortis, a soulslike set during Napoleon's 19th century conquest of Eastern Europe, has been revealed by Ghostrunner devs One More Level during Gamescom Opening Night Live's preshow. It's set for release in 2026. Yep, if you're a fan of games that drip with Frenchness and also revolve around beating up gaudily-health barred baddies before they do the same to you, this one might have you reaching for your musket and bicorne. That's assuming the setting offers enough of a unique feel that Valor Mortis doesn't resemble being trapped on a Fromsoft-imitation Elba. Read more

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

DualShockers 95/100

« Ghostrunner 2 is a perfectly executed cyberpunk slasher, providing an unmatched level of fluidity, engaging combat and a robust narrative. »

IGN 90/100

« Ghostrunner 2 is an electric sequel that supercharges everything that was great about the original and elevates it to a whole new level. The lightning fast, skill-heavy, one-hit kill combat is as exciting as ever, packed with even more tricks that give you plenty of new options to approach every scenario. The parkour also remains as smooth as silk, and some of the new motorcycle sequences are among the most exhilarating moments I’ve had all year. Those who didn’t vibe with the intensely reflex-heavy gameplay of the first Ghostrunner probably won’t be swayed by any of these improvements, but if the original was up your alley, I can’t imagine a better sequel than this. »

God is a Geek 90/100

« You’ll suffer hundreds of deaths in Ghostrunner 2, but every single one is worth it to move you forward step-by-bloody-step. »

Noisy Pixel 90/100

« Ghostrunner 2 embodies the epitome of a well-executed sequel. It doesn’t overshadow its precursor; instead, it leverages the original as a foundation for expansion and enhancement. The world-building and character development represent a significant leap in quality, and the unwavering pace of action propels it into a class of its own. The introduction of new abilities, expanded non-linear level design, and refined movement mechanics render this game a must-play for those looking to hone their 3D platforming skills. »

Finger Guns 90/100

« Prepare to break free of Dharma Tower in a blaze of sword swings, exhilarating last-gasp dashes and the glory of hundreds of deaths. The new motorcycle mechanics are bombastic (if a little janky) and One More Level continues to amaze with stellar level design, visual spectacle and a booming soundtrack. Ghostrunner 2 is a worthy sequel, even if the story falls flat and you end up smashing three controllers on your way to mastering it. »

CGMagazine 90/100

« Ghostrunner II is an incredibly challenging and incredibly fun game that will test your every Ninja reflex and keep you coming back for more. »

WellPlayed 90/100

« Ghostrunner 2 doubles down on everything that made the original so popular, and expands upon it in every conceivable way. Even if the story didn’t quite suck me in, the beauty of the stylish setting and the impeccable finesse of the challenging, fluid gameplay absolutely did. Ghostrunner 2 is the work of a team that you can tell know they’re onto a good thing, who also know that if you’re going to make a game about a slick, wall-running agent of death, you’re honour bound to make it cool as shit. »

TheSixthAxis 90/100

« Ghostrunner 2 is undoubtably excellent. While it's a tough and challenging game, the quick reloads help alleviate frustration and replace it with the "just one more try" drive to overcome it. There's a handful of small control niggles that might annoy, and if repeatedly dying is a pet video game peeve of yours, it might not be for you, but if the game gets its hooks into you, it's a sheer, visceral delight of dude slicing, shuriken flinging, laser dodging, taking a bullet to the face, reloading, and trying it all again. »

Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)

MrPedoJuegil 8/10

« Este me gustó más que el 1. Lo mejor para mí es la parte con moto, los enemigos están buenos, los bosses están bien pero tampoco para tanto, agregan más mecánicas que están buenísimas y un par de cosas más pero es súper frenético y entretenido. La historia sinceramente me re contra chupa un huevo lo mejor del juego es el combate. »

Krmrhgmf 8/10

« [SPOILER ALERT: This review contains spoilers.] »

Ryanhanseng 9/10

« Love these games! Shocked they aren't more popular. I only gave it a 9 instead of 10 because the open world section was annoying and a little jank with the bike. The linear bike sections were so cool though! The wingsuit sections were also awesome. Game makes you feel do badass lol »

Godigno 9/10

« I gave it a nine just because it might not be for everyone but for it's purpose the game is perfect »

PepeArciniega 8/10

« A very fun game, better than the first one in many aspects, the parkour feels way better and more satisfying, also it improves the narrative line but with some flaws, the addition of the hub between some levels sometimes is a little bit useless because some conversations don't add anything to the history, they just make you waste your time. The addition of the bike is really good, it made me a lot of fun but again, with some flaws, bugs and weird things that happen. In general a remarkable game that improves the fundation it had with the first iteration. »

Gragmouse 10/10

« Really reminds me of old school quake games and modern doom. Intense action, thumping music, secrets and references everywhere, and great linear design. I fin myself replaying endlessly to get a faster time. »

Lee10Loo 5/10

« I have played GR1 and fell in love with the game for so many of its aspects, such as the intense pacing of the game, maintaining a high tempo throughout the campaign, the cruelness, gore and dark side of the character (as well as other characters), and so many more, overall it was too satisfying. However in GR2, as much as I was excited for it, I was left disappointed. The first thing that got me was that the GR (Jack) was simply too nice now, you mainly take tasks from the people you saved before and just do them, it simply was not very fitting to his character and felt weak. The pacing of the game was terrible, once you start building momentum and get pumped up with a high tempo, all of a sudden you in this small sanctuary where you get to talk to people and upgrade your stuff, GR should always maintain a high pace full action gameplay as that is how it started, so killing the pacing and the tempo of this game makes it boring at many times. The open world element in the game should never have been introduced, the bike section was too long and boring as I kept losing my way around because of silly obstacles and signs, I also had many issues with knowing where to go in other sections of the game (not necessarily the bike section). GR is knowing for his work with his sword, his pace and his agility in movement, so why didnt we use this more often? Why are we on a bike for too long? why are we forced on using the added "other functions or mechanics" to get us somewhere? Is it because you want to show us that you are capable of adding it to the game just so it looks bigger? Why did the gameplay just cut to take us to that boring sanctuary while I am having a good run? Why cant we upgrade on the go? So many things were out there to make it lose its way from the original. Another disappointing thing were the boss fights, all of them were too easy for a GR game, repetitive, basic, it is just not hard and creative enough, even the reasons for fighting them were very basic due to the story being not interesting, you just go do whatever they feel like. »

IbraDodeen 0/10

« Worst game ever, why you won’t give me a health bar and I just manage myself. You have to retry each stage several times. Thank you but don’t play this ****. »
