Game & Wario, publié le 28 mars 2013 sur la console Wii U, a été développé par Nintendo SPD Production Group No. 1 et Intelligent Systems puis édité par Nintendo. Le résumé officiel indique que Wario s'est lancé dans la conception de jeux avec l'aide de son équipe de développement chez WarioWare, Inc., afin de réaliser la plus grande collection de jeux jamais vue à Diamond City, des jeux amusants et résolument insolites jouables exclusivement à l'aide du contrôleur Wii U GamePad. Le titre est associé aux genres jeu de tir (Shooter), sport et réflexion / puzzle, et repose sur le moteur Havok. Pour ce qui est de la durée de jeu, l'histoire principale est estimée à 2 Hoursh et le profil complétionniste à 16½ Hoursh, le jeu obtenant une note agrégée de 59.97.
Sur le plan de l'accueil critique, la presse a livré des impressions variées. NowGamer a salué le titre en déclarant : « Game & Wario’s a game, a label it wears proudly in its name, and it delivers entertainment in spades. Get it. » Game Informer a pour sa part écrit que « Game & Wario is a strange game that doesn’t offer a particularly cohesive experience, but that’s all part of the charm. It is a humorous and fun title that is … ». De leur côté, des joueurs sur Metacritic ont partagé des avis plus réservés, l'un regrettant que « this game dosent get the respect it deserves, the best game was the fruit game, play it after me and my brother played too much nintendo land haha, but it was … », et un autre estimant « The game's alright, there's nothing i could say about it, the games are a bit boring and the only best game on game and wario is gamer, because you can play th… ».

« [RU] Не стану врать, наиграл я немного. Заспидранил одиночный режим и немного побывал в мультиплеере. Но она реально чувствуется так, будто сделана вспешке. Да, там очень много уникального опыта, да и в мультиплеер очень весело играть. НО! Как-то взрослому человеку не хочется в неё возвращаться, а игра на компанию ну ООООЧЕНЬ мало. Но я бы все равно рекомендовал её опробовать »
