GamesBeat 90/100

« Bringing such an interesting, varied, and challenging game to consoles was a great move by Square Enix for the franchise. It’s more Final Fantasy than any recent Final Fantasy game. »

GameOver.gr 90/100

« Type-0 HD has everything a FF fan could ask for: A superb battle system, lots of characters, hours upon hours of interesting quests and a great story. It is quite strange, but the best Final Fantasy game of the recent years is a port from a PSP game. »

Gaming Nexus 88/100

« While not the next-generation Final Fantasy game fans are anxiously waiting for, Type-0 is a fun action/adventure with a lot of compelling ideas. There's enough variety in the gameplay to keep the combat fresh for dozens of hours, and the story is surprisingly emotional for a political thriller. Sadly, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is held back by its handheld roots, but don't let that keep you from discovering this oddity. »

Destructoid 85/100

« Although it doesn't necessarily justify the HD treatment at every turn, the core game is worth playing whether you're a fan of the franchise, or just enjoy challenging tactical action. If Square keeps highlighting and pushing quality experiences like this, it will prove to more people it hasn't lost its touch. »

RPG Fan 85/100

« It has a huge learning curve and might stymie even the most stalwart players early on, but once you climb that mountain, I promise you'll have a great time. »

Meristation 85/100

« Type-0 on the PSP was the best Final Fantasy game since, maybe, Final Fantasy XII. Nothing changes that in this case: Type-0 HD is fun to play, hard to master and offers a lot of content to explore. Also, here we have the access to Episode Duscae, the first chance to play Final Fantasy XV and to discover where the series is right now. It's a convincing package. »

COGconnected 85/100

« Aside from the wonky camera, the battles are fast-paced and rewarding that makes the game stand out amongst other Final Fantasy titles giving a unique experience. »

NZGamer 85/100

« One of the most authentic Final Fantasy games in a decade. »

« It was a good game, maybe too short and too repetitive with no actual enjoying lore, but actually not bad »

« Such an amazing game. To me is strange to see rewiers who give bigger notes to 15 and 16 when the combat and rp system is way better. For those who don't know Type-0 was the first action rpgFF but becouse how was implemented is way better then 15 and 16. You don't controll only 1 character but 3 from a selection of 12 each with their builds, spells and attacks. You can change anytime you want one of the 3 with another of the 9th you have in reverse when they die one in reverse come and take its place. This makes the combat so much tactical becouse some characters are DPS, others are tankier, other have good support with buffs and healing. In combat you can change from one to another with the push of a button so you can agro enemies then change with your other 2 characters and deal more Dmg from back or sides. There is also an active targeting for for witch the first mission explain it way better then I could. The story is also pretty good. The school anturage of your class gives the game a tree houses vibes where you go to classes and do guests for your classmates and everything you learn aplies directly on the field. The overall story is great and I encourage everyone to see at least the intro video where some of the political themes are set. If you like avatar is something like when the fire nation attacks. Finally the characters are so human and you attach to everybody on your class so much to the point you will have a bad time deciding who to main and who to bench. Maybe people had excuses to not play it when it was a psp only game but now with the expansion on PS4 you don't have any excuse. The game is also dirt cheap constantly dropping under 20$ »

« A great game with a lot of cute girls. In case you didn't know, they took a lot of care to make it so the panties that each girl wears is reflective of their personality. »

BigYeedus 6/10

« There's some decent stuff here. The tower defense minigame is pretty fun. Some good strategy in planning which team members will work better for certain missions. The social aspect is a neat idea. Story completely lost me though. Just not very engaging and bogged down in so much lore and minutiae. »

« Final Fantasy Type-0 is a spin off to the FF series that does not focus on turn based combat and is similar to FF Crisis Core in it's real time action fights and sequences. Personally the story for me is extremely forgettable and it does drag on for long periods of time. The vast cast of characters was also nothing to write home about as their interactions seemed forced and the moments of chemistry were few and far between. The way that this game focuses on it's quest structure also makes you question the development decisions such as only being able to have one active side quest at any time during the game ... however it IS a remaster of a PSP game so it's evident that it did not age well. Combat can be entertaining however it felt flat and bland for me about 5-6 hours in. Overall, this game is not a game I'd recommend. »

« It's off-brand. Not turn based - not final fantasy. I last played FFX-2. I'd picked this up for a no-pressure turn-based game to play and got a play experience entirely unlike what I was looking for. The story seemed ok, but I never got past the opening mission, owing primarily to a action-based difficulty curve far above and beyond what I was looking to tolerate from what I was expecting to be turn-based play. If I wanted action I'd have gone for any of a dozen different brands. Could I have beat the opening mission? Yes. Did I want to? Heck no. Hard pass for deviation from the brand identity. »

AleRegina 10/10

« Uno dei migliori final fantasy a mio parere. Bella storia, bei ****, difficoltà giusta, missioni secondarie di compagnia. »
